THE BEST HAIR EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE 3/14/2008

I?ve been to many salons in SoCal. I?ve had my hair fried, dyed, dried, and finally butchered all off. I walked into Tangles and probably had the best experience in a Salon in my life. My hair has always been short and dull. I went in and got extensions from Danielle. I?m a new person. I?ve never been so happy in my life with my hair. The extensions blend so well with my hair that no one can even tell. I have a new sense of confidence and I owe it all to Danielle. I will never let anyone else touch my hair again. more

best hair cut and color I've ever received! 3/6/2008

The place was very pleasant. My hairstylists name was Danielle and she gave me the best hair cut and color I have ever received! I have very long brown hair and she gave me a great, hip shag hair cut that everyone complemented me on. I also wanted to make my hair a darker shade of brown and she mixed the perfect color for my light skin tone. All the employees were very friendly and Danielle and I made great conversation. My favorite part was the shampoo and massage! I could go back every day just for that. I highly recommend this salon and will never go anywhere else! more

Great cut, color, and service 10/23/2007

I went to Tangles a couple weeks ago and honestly have received A LOT of compliments on both my hair cut and the color! I went to Tina? she listened very well and considering I didn?t really know what exactly I wanted done, she did an excellent job. I got a trim with more layers and also had partial highlights done. The staff working at Tangles were all very kind and gave no pressure at all. I am new to Pasadena and went to a different local place a few months ago. Tangles is much more affordable for the same, if not better, service :) Pros: Service, Hours, Affordable more

cute, friendly salon charm 12/28/2006

I'm back in Southern California for the holidays and I needed a trim on my cut. I wanted to same style, but just a clean up. Ruth was my stylist and she was very attentive and she examined my current style before even lifting the sissors to my hair. I would definately return again, when I move back to sunny california from the dreary East Coast. Bad service 8/10/2006

Terrible! Did not have a chance to test their service. Waited for half an hour after the appointment time. Nobody came to me to explain or make an exscuse until I asked. Still no excuses or explanation. I left and made a haircut in a neaby shop. Just don't fet used to it. May be it's normal? more

The first time I went, I got highlights, which were very mediocre and just looked like stripes in my hair. Then, I went for an up-do for a special event. The stylist was offended when I told her I wanted the style looser and not so pulled back, and became very rude towards me. My hair ended up looking like something I could do myself. The experience was so bad, that it ruined the entire night. The prices are reasonable, but the value is not there! Pros: manicures, atmosphere Cons: inexperienced stylist, parking, terrible highlights more

I have had a hard time finding a salon I really like out here, but Tangles is amazing. Both the owner and stylist I saw were incredibly nice and I got the haircut I wanted. I'm definitely returning and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to get their hair cut. Pros: reasonable cost, listen to clients more

I love my hair! Thanks to Ruth at Tangles I no longer struggle with it. I usually hate getting my hair done because I can never duplicate the results, but Ruth was kind enough to take time and teach me how to do it myself. more

Best Highlights for Asian Hair 6/23/2004

I got Chris my first time at Tangles and I will definitely go again. For a highlight, cut and style job he was an efficient perfectionist. The total job from start to finish was under 2 hours and he didn't burn my ears or give me a headache - with either the chemicals or dull conversation! He took his time to make sure my color came out exactly the way I wanted it. I came during the week, when it's not as packed. Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest times. I just recently moved to the pasadena area. I now had the dreaded chore to find a new salon that would fulfill my needs. There are a zillion hair salons to choose from there. I was referred to go to TANGLES. The choice could'nt have been a better one. Chris, was the stylist I got. He took his time to listen to my hair needs. He asked what he could do, to make my hair ideally the way I wanted it. That alone, impressed me. He is also very funny, and has an amazing personality. Everyone at Tangles is extremely nice and friendly. Chris is my stylist and he is great! He has a great personality so it's easy to warm right up to him and he really listens to what you want. With an overabundance of Salons in the Pasadena area, I was lucky to find Tangles on the first try. The stylist listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and did a great job. The staff was friendly, not pushy, and although it was a little crowded, made sure I was always taken care of. I am sure to return and I recommend it highly. Tangles is fabulous and the hairstylists are hip to the latest tricks. Color and weaves are their specialty- everyone is pro at Tangles. The salon is pretty traditional- no special frills. The cost is reasonable however it gets a bit crowded at Tangles so be sure to give yourself some extra time in case your stylist is running behind schedule. Pros: affordable more

I'm a fan of this place. All the people here are super cool and up with what's going on. Heidi is a great stylist with reasonable prices, and Chris is a little more outgoing with his cuts. If you're looking for a good facial, Carrie is awesome and very personable. She'll give you great skin care tips too. more
