Not a good choice 3/28/2008

The service is slow. The quality of the food is not good. The chicken is not cooked properly. The prices are sky rocketing when compared to other Indian restaurants. more

Wonderful!!!!!!! 2/26/2008

Perfectly spiced dishes and amazing service, this was the best Indian meal I have had in SLC, despite my affection for Royal India and Bombay house... more

Lunch Buffet Lacking 1/19/2008

The food was cold, the garlic naan was regular naan smothered in garlic salt, the palak paneer was horrible and the tandoori chicken was bone dry. The only saving grace was the lamb curry but it just wasn't enough. There are too many good indian restraunts in SLC to ever go back there. Pros: Close by Cons: cold food, poor food, only one server more

Indian Jewel in the Suburbs 1/3/2008

Tandoor is an unexpected treasure. The food is excellent, the best Indian food around (even better than Bombay House!). The staff is so friendly and helpful, you just can't help but want to go back over and over again. Last but not least, the price is right! Around $4 for appetizers and $10 for entrees- plenty of delicious food. I just can't say enough good things about Tandoor. I'm thrilled to have this restaurant in Salt Lake City- I will travel to the suburbs for the Tandoor experience. You'll be delighted. Pros: Phenomenal Indian food, outstanding customer service, nice and quiet but not overpriced more

The Johnny Depp of Indian restaurants 11/21/2007

I would actually come here every night if I didn't think I'd get ""looks."" It's just a quaint little restaurant that ever since I discovered is my first choice for Indian food in the whole valley. Order chai for sure and even if you ask for thirty packets of sugar they don't mind. The staff is very accommodating and friendly which is refreshing especially because Indian restaurants aren't exactly stellar in reputation when it comes to customer service. These are some of the sweetest people I've ever met in the restaurant business. The food! Wow! Perfectly spiced and cooked- especially the aloo gobi, fish curry, garlic naan, peshawari naan, lamb curry, lamb korma, and pretty much everything else. Seriously. Pros: Aloo gobi, great staff, and chai Cons: Can't think of any more

BeST indian food in salt lake city 11/6/2007

This place has great food. I love their lamb items. They have different and great indian taste than any indian restaurant in this city. Just dont care about the next door store. It is great place for dinner. They have almost 100 different items to make you happy. more

Very unique and tasty dishes. Try the buffet. 10/11/2007

The food was delicious. The Indian eggplant dish and okra are two of my favorites. The butter chicken is also very good. The service is a bit slow but the food makes up for it. Try the buffet during lunchtime for a variety of unique dishes that you probably wouldn't think about ordering at dinner. Pros: great appetizers, naan, main dishes and desserts Cons: slow service more

you can smell the Nail Saloon next door. 9/27/2007

The service was very slow, although they did comp us some sort of appetizer. if you can get past the smell of the nail salon next door the food is fairly good. Cons: smell more
