Sadly, the restaurant closed after a long run in South Jersey, no reasons given and no forwarding address. more

A good lunch as long as you avoid the buffet 1/23/2007

I'm not as enthusiastic about Tandoor Palace as other reviewers. I had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon in August and it was good. However, I recently tried the weekday lunch buffet and I was disappointed. Ironically, the chicken tandoori was dry and bland. The dishes weren't very warm. (And I was the first patron of the day so they should have been piping hot from the kitchen.) and the gulab jamun (dough b@lls in a cardamom and rosewater-laced sugar syrup) were almost refrigerator cold. They've been served warm in every other Indian restaurant I've been to. So I suggest if you go, stay away from the buffet and you might have a good meal. Pros: Order from the menu and you should get a decent meal. Cons: Try the buffet and you might be disappointed. more

Shooting Myself in the Foot. 5/5/2006

A World Away from Ordinary 5/4/2006

I've never come in and found a group of Midwestern tourists. This is a good thing. For dinner on the weekends, Tandoor has an extensive menu to choose from. The meal is what you make of it, from a quick entree to five full courses they can accommodate your desires. But I would suggest stopping in during the week for the buffet. The selection is not huge, but every dish is good. This would be an excellent way to introduce someone to Indian cuisine. Highlights of the menu are the mushroom saag and the naan bread. If you're wondering how the bread could be a highlight, you don't know naan. Great place for a date if you're looking for something different. Be sure to mind the spice level: ""mild"" is suitable for most, ""medium"" for the adventurous and ""hot"" is only for the brave. Pros: good parking more
