Always fresh seafood 12/29/2005

I've been going to Tamashiro market for over 30 years and we always buy our shelfish there. They always have live prawns, crabs, and pickled mango. If you like to eat poke, definitely try their poke. You know the fish will be fresh and the flavor is very good. The store is not very big and the cashiers are tightly packed in the front by the entrance. The parking is tight and you usually have to park across the street in the church parking but it is worth it to get the fresh fish. more

Local Seafood Market Soars 10/7/2005

Tamashiro Market does very well in providing the freshest seafood available in the market. They are usually sold out of their fishes by the end of the day which includes whole fishes, filets, and other seafoods like clams, oysters, live shrimps, crabs, etc. They also carry produce and asian sauces and misc products. Tamashiro Market has many regular clients and I can see why. They are committed to providing quality over quantity. Their seafood is more expensive than most markets on the island and supply is limited but it is worth it if you want fresh seafood, so go there early. Shop at Tamashiro if you're trying to impress your guests! more

Wonderful Fish Market 10/4/2005

I have been going to Tamashiro Market for a long time. They sell everything from fresh fish to produce to boiled peanuts. My favorite seafood items are fresh clams and fresh whole ahi. They will cut and fillet a whole fish for you if you want. Their clams are so good and you can pick which clams you want. Their seafood is very fresh. I don't think I ever had a problem in the past buying seafood that was old or spoiled. If you love fresh seafood and fast and friendly service then this is the market for you to shop at. more

Fresh Seafood Store 8/20/2005

I have tried buying fresh shellfish (clams and oysters) from other seafood stores, but none of them can beat Tamashiro Market’s. At other stores, the clams and oysters are packaged and placed in the refrigerator; many of them are already open and dying. At Tamashiro’s, they are dumped into ice and you can hand pick each clam or oyster own your own. Look for the ones that are closed tightly. more
