Tamara Spa

It was a total surprise to me this morning not knowing where I was going. I was impressed from the greeting to the very end. My massage therapist was Renee, she has a wonderful touch. "Keep her on the payroll". Sophia's facial was so soothing. My skin looked radiant afterwards. I forgot my nail techs name but she was wonderful as well with both my hands and feet. I had an excellent lunch. I would recommend Tamara to family, friends and coworkers. It was a great experience!!!! more

I would like to take 5mins of my time, to explain my blissful day at Tamaras spa; The Aroma Rain forest steam was so relaxing, followed by a Hot stone" massage, and a Hydrating Facial that was amazing'!! more

I invited a group of girls to Tamara Spa for a bachelorette party this weekend. The girls booked massages, facials, mani/pedis and I booked a couple body scrubs and a massage for the bride and bridal party. When I originally called, no one answered the phone after a couple phone calls. I decided to just email the manager to ask her about hosting a group of girls there and she got back to me a couple days later by phone. She was very nice and answered all my questions and urged me to book as soon as we could to accommodate 10-12 girls. I ended up booking about a month and half in advance and everything worked out fine, we booked on a Wednesday early evening at 5:00 the spa is open till 9:00 PM.. When we arrived, we were running late because of some schedule problems and the girls at the desk were very nice about it. They ushered us into our different treatments and everyone was taken care of. The bride had Dominica for her scrub and massage and she reported that she was very nice and everything felt amazing. My sister and I had a body scrub by Erika and she was also amazing, very nice and kept me covered as much as she could during the scrub. The ginger lime body scrub smelled and felt amazing, it left me feeling like a million bucks. I would definitely book again here, whether for a group or just me. I think for a simple manicure and pedicure, there are better, smaller and cheaper places but as far as the spa treatments and the facility, we were very happy. Spa water, snacks, clean locker rooms, sauna and lounge all included! Thank you! I will be back. more

I am a client of Tamara’s for over 15 years. By far the best spa in Detroit and Midwest. I travel a lot and always visit spas in every city. Tamara's spa atmosphere, facility, massage therapists and facialist are the best. They are consistently great with the wonderful beauty products. more

For my 40th birthday my friends decided to surprise me with spa girls night out. It was so much fun. It was 12 of us and I had never had better time. It was my first time at Tamara Spa and I was quite impressed by the size and by how nice everything was. I liked relaxing music in the hallways, and dimmed lights made me feel very peaceful. We all gathered at private lunch room for champagne lunch with salads and croissants. We were taken to our services after and we all had different treatments done that day, and they were fantastic. Its hard for me and my friends to get together very often and this was the great idea to do that. Best birthday ever! more

I work a lot in front of the computer and my back is always in pain. I could never find a spa that would take care of all my needs and have a quiet atmosphere until my husband bought me a gift certificate to Tamara Spa. I felt special from the moment I walked into the spa. The environment is very quiet and relaxing. All the operators are knowledgeable and helpful. Front desk is friendly and nice. I have had different massage therapists for my services and I can never pick my favorite, they had all done exactly what I wanted and the pressure was always good. I feel like Tamara Spa is my second home now. Last month I even brought my husband for a treat. We had couples package with jacuzzi and massages in double suite. It was very relaxing and romantic experience. And my husband, the person who never goes to spa, wants to come in again. I highly recommend the spa. more

Tamara Spa is such a fantastic spa. Front desk girls go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They always let me feel special every time I come in! They offer a wide variety of services, including waxing, facials, sunless tanning, nails, and water treatments. All spa services are wonderful. My favorite service is facial with Jane. I have been coming to her for over 10 years. I never had my skin glow before I started to go to Jane. She always makes me feel great. She helps me clear up my skin so it looks perfect every day! I can’t say enough how great this place is! I absolutely love it! I definitely recommend Jane and Tamara Spa. more

I, like a lot of other women, love going to the spa.. it's one of the best rewards you can give yourself.. I made an appointment for a facial and body treatment for myself and a massage for my husband.. I thought their prices to be a little steep but I know spas are not cheap so I went along with the prices.. the hours of operation are great for working people, which I loved.. we arrived and the spa and the staff was friendly, it was a little smaller then I imagined and a lot of commotion, I am used to going to a spa and being able to hear a pin drop so this took me off guard.. the locker rooms were okay, small and after changing into my robe I was escorted into a waiting room, where my husband and two other women were sitting in their robes, I did not like this.. I am used to men and women being in separate waiting rooms, I find it to be a little uncomfortable.. not that I was uncomfortable with that situation but I can imagine the other women might have been uncomfortable with a man in there, as I would have been if another man was in there.. this really set me off from the experience.. the treatments for both of us were wonderful, the staff did their job and did it wonderfully, it was not rushed.. the rooms were a little cluttered, again not what I was used to in spas.. all in all it was an okay experience.. I don't think I would return to this spa again unless I got a gift certificate from someone.. more
