Welcome to our office! We think you will like it here at Tallant Chiropractic! We are a patient-oriented clinic that works mostly with patients from the greater Sand Springs area. Our clinic has a rich history. This clinic was owned and ran for many years by Dr. Floyd Rupp, a well known and well respected chiropractor. In June 2010, the clinic was taken over by Jeff Tallant, D.C. an Oklahoma native. We are also a family oriented clinic. We treat those conditions that are the most common in chiropractic offices such as low back pain, mid and upper back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, hip and leg pain, headaches and common conditions of the hands and feet. We have a pleasant, spacious office located in the Springs Village Shopping Center. That is on the south side of the river at the intersection of Highway 97 and 41st street. We are between the Super Save grocery store and Reasors next to the G.N.C. store. We provide all the services you see in the best and most progressive chiropractic clinics right here in Sand Springs. Most new patients start their care in the same way. You will sit down with the doctor and discuss your health problem. This will take 10-15 minutes. After that consultation the doctor will usually suggest a neurologic and orthopedic exam. This exam is used to confirm that your problem is a chiropractic problem. If your problem is severe enough, or if there are other extenuating circumstances, the doctor may recommend x-rays. The x-rays help locate and isolate the problem and provide information as to how the patient should be treated. Depending on the condition, the doctor may provide care that day or wait until after he has had time to study the exam and x-ray findings. Your total first visit should take about one hour. Future Visits On your second visit the doctor will sit down with you, show you your x-rays and explain your condition. He will also give you a recommendation on care. After he has explained the problem and recommended care, he will start your care. Almost all patients receive a chiropractic adjustment and many receive some type of therapy or rehabilitation. Our therapies include electro-muscle stimulation, ultrasound, intersegmental traction, myo-fascial release, and manual traction. We also perform neuromusculoskeletal rehab and a regular basis on many of our patients. We think you’ll enjoy your care. Our doctor and staff take special care of their patients and it shows! Gentle Treatment Dr. Tallant is proficient in various techniques and will use the one best suited to you. He uses both force and low force (gentle) techniques such as the Activator technique. If you prefer a low force technique just let the doctor know in advance.
