I don't know anybody who buys toys from here. The last time I went in, I came right out. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned/organized since the late 30's...the toys are ...

not always the best service 11/10/2007

Bought my daughter a rocking chair. Got home with no instructions for setting it up and then noticed a crack. Took back to store and got blamed for the crack while putting it together after a lot of hassle got a new one. ANd then the second one also had a crack. Not their fault but could have been a bit more helpful. Did finally get anew chair after 4 trips to the story. more

The Best!!! 6/28/2006

Talbot's saved me an many occasions. I would stop there on my way to a child's birthday party and the staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. They always have a lot of staff available and there free gift wrap service is incredible. My would always look forward to going to Talbot's to shop for a gift and pick out the gift wrap of there choice. This is not a discount store... it is more like a Nordstrom!!!! If you want discount, do not expect the extra services that Talbot's offers, like free gift wrapping (even at Christmas), helpful and knowledgeable sales people, clean, organized shelves and very seldom do you have to stand in line. And Talbot's if VERY, VERY supportive in the community. more

Great selection, even for adults 3/26/2006

This store is great for birthday and Christmas presents. They will gift wrap for free, and have nights where your group (Mother's Club, school, etc.) can shop after hours which are really nice. It has gifts, strollers, carseats, pottys, as well as model trains and bikes for the older set. It can be a bit expensive so I don't shop there often but it's nice to have it around. more

Talbots Toyland 3/23/2006

You really will never find a store with a better and more extensive toy selection anywhere - even online, You enter the store and you have isles and isles of things - my kids get lost theref or hours. One thing that I do not like about Talbots Toyland is prices. Prices there are steep - $50 for a toy horse (comon!!!!!) I don't usually buy anything there but I let my kids play there all the time. they bring their friends there and we all have a blast more

TALBOT'S 9/5/2005

TALBOTS!! I use to go to talbot's so much when I was younger. Alot of good memories in that store! I like it because the store is seperated into sections like..the bicycle section, the doll section, the baby section. So it is all very convenient. The only thing I dont like is the prices, because some things are just too expensive. But if the prices weren't as high I would go there more often. I think the last time I went their was months ago..But everytime I pass by it I want to go in! more

Musty Smell 8/9/2005

I don't know anybody who buys toys from here. The last time I went in, I came right out. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned/organized since the late 30's...the toys are good, but you can't really find what you want. I don't know, but if I wanted to buy some toys, this wouldn't be my top choice (you should also see the prices!). Toys R Us would be my top choice. more

Good selection, a bit pricey 8/3/2005

On one hand, their prices are high, but you also have to consider the fact that in the age of ToysRUs and Targets on every corner, it's good to go local! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The selection is good and it's big enough that the kids can try the ride ons and play with some of the toys without disrupting shopping. They have a pretty good baby gear and baby gift section and some unique wood toys you don't find at the homogenous chains. They do carry the name brands though - Little Tykes, Leapfrog, Kinex, to name just a few. Dolls, bikes, trains, this is your place! They also are very active in the community, offering fundraising opportunities. They offer free giftwrap for the wrapping impaired. If the prices spook you, send the grandparents! more
