SCOTTSDALE TALBOTS @ KIERLAND COMMONS,
Wow, I have never have been so rudely treated by a store manager, where did they get him? Right off the street with a high school degree? I had to take back a pair of espadrille shoes (a knock off the real Valentinos with the half bow, which I own but are too high to wear for every day travel) and thinking I could wear the Talbots instead. I wore these for ONE day in NYC for about 5 hours and the rubber heel completely wore off. When I took it back a week later to show them and ask for a store credit, not even a refund, I was given the Final Sale speech. I understand all that, I?ve worked in retail before, but if the product failed, I HAD TO RETURN IT. If I can't wear it anymore, why would I want to keep it. It's not as if I wanted to return it, I had to. After I finally get my refund, he proceeds to speak about this to an associate when I?m within earshot of the conversation. Seriously? Seriously?? If you're going to do that at least make sure that the customer doesn't hear it or is made to feel uncomfortable. Sadly I WILL NOT be returning to this store. And I spent some serious cash there in the past couple of years, since entering my 40-ez. The quality is just not there in the products or the employees!! No wonder they are failing. With so much retail competition why would I go to a store where I?m treated badly and have subpar products? No wonder the larger retailers succeed where Talbots fails.
