I rate this sushi as some of the best I've ever eaten. The fish is always fresh and the cut is always superb. This is a great local restaurant with a lot of repeat business. The sushi chef and owners expect to see me and my boyfriend there at least once a week, where we splurge on the O-toro, Baked Black Cod (we always get two because I don't like to share- this is the only dish I actually DREAM about...and yes it is that good), Spicy Tuna Rolls, Ahi Katsu, Albacore in Garlic Sauce, Live Scallops and more. They won't disappoint you, just talk to Hiro-san at the counter. He will tell you exactly what fish is the best for the day and make recommendations based on that. Alan, the other sushi chef/owner, is a lively and colorful character and always makes dining a wonderful experience. If you are a repeat customer, Linda (co-owner) will remember the drinks and dishes you like and take special care of you. I often see people go in to the restaurant and rave about how good it is. Once there was two travelers from Germany who drove out from Los Angeles, simply because this place was recommended over Zuma, which is another popular restaurant in LA. That sealed the deal for me. I will continue to go, as long as I live close enough to get out there (and I live in Valencia by the way.) This restaurant is well worth the drive.
Pros: Fresh Sushi, Baked Black Cod, Great Conversation with the Chefs.
Cons: No Cons, but the restaurant is small and very intimate.
