I typically order off the menu but the variety and freshness of the buffet was too tempting. I was pleasantly surprised. Great veggie dishes and really good chicken tikka and lamb sag. Although not a native, I have high expectations for Indian and this place met them. Interesting decor. more

Taj Palace is one of the most amazing places that I have had the plaesure of eating. Being in bay area I get the opportunity to eat in a lot of amazing places and this place is one of the best places which gives the feel of a homely cooked food. The prices are pretty competitive and the food is amazing for the prices. more

Taj Palace is my favorite place to escape for lunch. Walking in the door makes me feel as if I'm transported to a faraway land. Beautifully ornate hangings drape from the ceiling. Intricately caved wooden screens shield me from the world outside and the smell of curry wafts out the doorway, tempting passersby! Taj Palace is a tiny establishment, but its patrons wouldn’t have it any other way. The owners are as warm and friendly as the marsala tea, and the prices are as soft on your wallet as naan. During lunch hours, $5.95 will allow you endless trips to the buffet to sample a splendid variety of Indian dishes. Dinner is served from the menu at reasonable prices only slightly higher than during lunch. Make your escape to Taj Palace and leave the world behind! more
