This is my second visit. This time we both had the chef's tasting menue and it was one of my most memorable eating experiences of all time. It was supposed to be seven courses but ended up as eleven courses. There were sublime dishes such as sorbet with beet and carrot emulsion, lobster in a vanilla gelitin, skate with a artichoke mouse, squab in a zucchini basket, rabbit stuffed with foie gras, a creamy sweet souffle and a crab soup with foam. It was pure heaven. I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in New York (Jean George, Babbo) and here (Aqua, Masa's) and this is up there with the best. Wonderful friendly serivice and a non-stuffy atmosphere top the experience. Yes it's pricey but for a special occasion... go for it.
