Taglio Salon

So-so. I went to this salon based on the glowing reviews. I wasn't offered the raved about glass of wine (or anything else for that matter). What bothered me was that I was in and out in about 25 minutes, the stylist made very little conversation with me, and I paid $45 for that. I have no problem paying that or more for a haircut but part of that should be for the experience. I should mention the cut is ok--not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. If I wanted someone who was going to ignore me and then get me out in less than half an hour, I'd go to Great Clips. I'm willing to give this salon a second chance so the stylist can get to know me--maybe that was the problem. But overall, not a great first impression. I needed a new salon and found Taglio. Everyone was so wonderful and helpful and Heidi was just the best choice for me. She listened to me, made suggestions that made sense to me and helped me choose the right hair products. My hair is looking the best it has in years. Also, she massaged my scalp when she shampooed me. I had forgotten how great this was -- my previous salon did not do this. I highly recommend Heidi and Taglio. Try this salon, you won't be sorry! I absolutely love Taglio Salon! I had my first visit to Taglio a few weeks ago and was utterly impressed by the service. I was greeted by the receptionist who offered me a glass of winewhich I accepted! I was then promptly met by my stylist who did a great job. I love my new hair, it hasnt looked this good in years! I went there twice for color touch-ups and had the same stylist. She was not attentive to me or my requests both times. She styled my hair the way she thought it should look and not how I wanted it. It was not appropriate for my face shape or age.When I came back for the next visit, the receptionist didn't tell her I was waiting, so I sat for 20 minutes. That visit my stylist kept conversing with her co-worker next to us and not me. Even after explaining what I wanted, like not using a flat iron, my hair still wasn't what I hoped for. Dede is my primary hair stylist even though I live across the country and only visit Oregon a couple of times a year. I haven't found anyone to compare with her! The salon is a treat--warm and welcoming, and the level of service is simply superb. more

I've lived here for most of my life and I've been to every kind of salon Portland has to offer, from the downtown shwanky salon to the local shop and Taglio is the best salon I've seen yet. I've just relocated to Oregon and decided to give Taglio a try. I was very impressed with Megan. She listened to my thoughts about a new style and also shared some of her own and the end result was really perfect. She seems to really like creating new styles and took care in making sure that I was happy along the way. The atmosphere in the salon is very warm and inviting. Highly recommended. This salon is exactly what I've been looking for. Not only is the salon beautiful, the stylists actually have experience and my hair looks fantastic! The best hair cut I have ever had, by far, and I enjoyed every second of my time there. There is a fabulous feeling in the atmosphere, they know how to make a client feel like they should in a salon.
