The Scene
A shopping trip to Chagrin Falls is an unbeatable blend of small-town shops and upscale stores situated on an inimitable community canvas. A meandering downtown river becomes a substantial waterfall, and glorious old trees provide a breathtaking autumn spectacle.Taggart's might be the best compliment to the historical warmth of Chagrin. Local parents and their children have been visiting the cozy little family-owned shop since it opened in 1960 and the growth of Chagrin as a tourist powerhouse has helped promote Taggart's impressive collections of Stieff stuffed animals, Corgi cars and planes and Madame Alexander dolls to Northeast Ohio shoppers.
Retro Raves
While you'll have to go elsewhere for your back-to-the-future scooter, try the Rockenbok remote control line that features the new monorail system. As for another nostalgic ride to the past (and perhaps a Nintendo-be-darned declaration), the store still features model car and plane kits for boys and girls alike. That's not a bad thingin a town swamped with SUVs, here's a chance for the kids to check out a 1966 GTO.
