For my $, the best Mexican food in Tacoma 8/17/2005

I'm a native Pacific NW-erner, so I can't speak to what people say about this place being "authentic" vs anywhere else. But I do know that this blows away pretty much any other Mexican restaurant around here. Really great (giant) burritos, melt-in-your-mouth enchiladas, good tortilla soup... Nice people and your daily dose of Mexican music videos or soap operas on the TV. Wonderful place to gorge yourself and knock back a Negra Modelo or two... more

Our favorite quick, "authentic" Mexican in town 5/19/2005

Moving to Tacoma from So. Cal, we really missed the availability of real mexican food. Then we found Tacos Guyamas... We love the food here -- but you need to be ready for REAL Mexican food. None of that "Tex-Mex" stuff here (go across the street to Chevy's for that). The burritos rock! They are huge and packed full! They also have our favorite meat: al pastor (seasoned pork) .. and not every place has that. Next time you're in the mood for some take-out Mexican ... grease and all ... give this place a try! more
