Taco Loco - Nuts about Nachos! 7/28/2006

If I were to have a last meal (and my mother wasn't available to cook) I would choose nachos from Taco Loco. When I am in the mood (which is more often than I like to admit) I order what my daughter affectionately calls a "Trough of Nachos". There is mucho chips, fresh salsa, black beans and meat. The meal is huge and plenty for my small family. The take out meals are delicious, affordable and generous. It is also nice to eat at the restaurant, too. Taco Loco's service is courteous and the atmosphere is casual and relaxing. There is even al fresco dining, but since the equator recently relocated to Connecticut, I would suggest eating inside with the air-conditioning. (If you like it hot, order extra jalapenos.) more

  • When we opened in 1982 on Main Street we were just selling tacos, burritos and nachos in our small taco shop. They were delicious! Word got about Taco Loco and as the demand for increased, we outgrew our shop and moved to Black Rock where we expanded our menu and services.

    Nowadays, we have a complete menu with entrees such as paella, steak chimichurri, carnitas, pollo mole poblano and the same Taco Loco tacos that made us famous. Voted Best Mexican Restaurant in Fairfield County. Best Margarita, Best Fajita, Best Nachos by Connecticut Magazine and many other publications. We are known for our outstanding service, our alfresco dinning an our outdoor patio and with over 75 premium tequilas, don't forget our complete selection of fabulous margaritas as well as Mexican beers and outstanding wines!

    Our catering business keeps growing every year! Thanks to our customers, during the last ten years we have catered numerous weddings, bar mitzvahs, communions, beach parties, block parties, showers, birthdays, holiday celebrations and corporate events for up t o 650 people.
