Taco John's is a regional fast-food Mexican restaurant. The stores have been in operation since 1969. Featuring your standard fast-Mex fare of tacos, burritos, enchiladas and the 'Potato Ole' - basically a seasoned, flattened Tater-Tot. Taco John's far surpasses their closest competitor, Taco Bell, in food quality, taste, service and consistency. The only leg-up the Bell has is price...but sometimes you do really get what you pay for. Many of the Taco John's location feature their own little 'Salsa Bar' for you to fix up your food when it served featuring: hot and mild red salsa (tomato), green salsa (jalapeno not tomatillo) and pico de gallo. Daily specials give you a price break on select items and they frequently run coupons locally. Fairly decent food for a fast food joint and not nearly as gastro-intensive as Taco Bell. I recommend 'em! Try the Potato Ole Bravo or Super Potato Oles, a Meat and Potato Burrito, or a Taco Bravo...
