They have the very best pizza, and serves other delicious foods.

Pizzas that melt in your mouth 1/12/2006

Sometimes it's nice to go for a thicker crust pizza like at Pegasus Pizza on Alki Beach -- but for thin crust, authentic Italian-style pie, this place is great. The atmosphere is good. The servers are always nice. They can figure out seating for largish groups. The bathrooms are even nice. To finish off your meal, try the made-in-house gelato. They even have Nutella flavored stuff. more

Great Pizza Place in Columbia City 1/12/2006

Here's one idea. Head down there for a slice of authentic thin crust pizza at Tutta Bella. There are also a bunch of other solid pubs and breakfast joints too. I don't think the available nightlife there is going to scare the Fremont Chamber of Commerce anytime soon but it is one of Seattle's more ecclectic neighborhoods with a wide variety of shops and restaurant options. more

Fantastic thin-crust pizza in Wallingford 12/28/2005

Seattle pizza fans have been blessed with a recent bloom of high-quality pizza joints -- where 'quality' is (subjectively) defined as thin-crust, wood-fired, 'Neapolitan-style' pies. The original Tutta Bella, down in Columbia City, led the charge, followed recently by the excellent Via Tribunali on Capitol Hill. Now Tutta Bella has brought its simple-but-winning formula to North Seattle with a huge new storefront on Stone Way, just south of 45th. Like the original Tutta Bella, this outpost serves wonderfully light, thin crust pizza, baked in wood-fired ovens according to the strict guidelines laid out by the Neapolitan pizza bakers guild. Unlike the original, the new store can seat (I'm guessing) 150 diners at a time, with table service instead of the cafeteria-style ordering offered at the Columbia City location. If you don't love pizza, Tutta Bella's offerings are limited - Italian flatbread, some decent salads and a short dessert menu. But if excellent pizza in a convivial atmosphere is what you're after, Tutta Bella is the best new pick north of the Ship Canal. more

Best Pizza in Seattle! 12/7/2005

This is what pizza is supposed to be like! Not the doughy kind with so much cheese it's soggy! This place rocks! Their salads are fresh, well prepared and their wine list is affordable. One thing that keeps me coming back here is their consistency. Their product is always the same no matter who is making it. The staff is well trained. Take-out is a great option on weekends when it is busy! more

Pizza the way it should be 10/28/2005

My husband and I have tried a lot of gourmet pizza places both here and in Boston, MA. Emma's of Cambridge, MA was at the top of our list until we tried Tutta Bella in our neighborhood, Columbia City. We do a lot of take out because the place is always packed. When we do stay to eat, the service is fast and friendly. And who can beat the price? While we are happy they are opening another place on Stone Way, we hope that the north side of Seattle will continue to visit the original place down in the heart of the Rainier Valley. more

Best Cappucino since Florence! 10/24/2005

In addition to their huge, delicious and fresh salads; and their outstanding crusts, Tutta Bella also has some of the best cappuccino I've had since being in Florence. It was really cool to watch the barista make our cappuccino too. You can tell by watching that the guy takes real pride in what he does. Creamy, smooth, not too bitter. I'll make the trek to Columbia City just for a capp. more often now. more

Best ever! 10/20/2005

I can honestly say that this is my favorite overall restaurant in Seattle. It's a combination of food, good people and lively atomosphere. When something doesn't go as planned, they make it right. The owner is always accessible and makes himself a part of the experience. The wait can be long sometimes, but you can often call before you leave and get your name on the list (shh! I don't think this is a standard practice!) more

Best Pizza in Seattle 10/6/2005

This is the best place to get as authentic as you can get Itallian pizza. I highly reccomend it if you enjoy flavorfull pizza and salads unlike the plain greasy chain pizzas i.e. pizza hut or dominos. Not to mention it is fairly cheap. Very Highly reccomended. more

VPN Certified pizza, it can't be beat 8/21/2005

Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria is the only pizzeria is the northwest and one of a small handful in the United States to receive VPN certification. This certification comes straight from Naples Italy, the birthplace of pizza, and assures the pizza you are eating is made in the traditional way using traditional ingredients. I suggest sticking with the classics, sauce and cheese or sauce and anchovies (this good, but doesn't fill you up). The Antica with meats is good too. I always leave Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria full, but not overly stuffed. The tiramisu is amazing. The average pizza costs $7-10 (the prices keep going up). Usually it's one pizza per person. more

Personal pizza! 8/20/2005

Columbia City residents must share Tutta Bella with the rest of the city (a Wallingford location is in the works), and they do so gracefully. Filled with a mix of neighborhood families and people discovering Neapolitan pizza for the first time, Tutta Bella is always bustling. From the complimentary wine to the waxed twine game for kids, there’s something to do from the very beginning. One piece of advice: try a salad pizza – it’s incredible, a perfect combination of crisp, salty crust with salad (generously dressed). more

Not your basic pizza joint 8/18/2005

Tutta Bella is packed every night for good reason - the food is good, cheap, and plentiful. You may have to wait 20 minutes for a table, but you will be provided with a free glass of wine and some flat bread for your trouble. Be prepared for lots of kids, but there are some hidden away tables - just ask. more

Favorite Pizza in Seattle 8/18/2005

My husband and I found this after moving to a close neighborhood during our house remodel. It has become one of our favorite locations to grab an easy Sunday lunch or evening dinner - and they didn't make strange looks at us when we came in wearing our paint splattered clothing. The only drawback to the restaurant is that it can get a bit cold in the winter with all the exposed concrete and glass windows. As long as you plan for it you shouldn't have any problems. more

tutta bella 8/18/2005

I realize this is a bold statement, but this may be the best pizza in Seattle. Tutta Bella prides itself on genuine Neapolitan style pizza, and they never disappoint. Their menu has something to please all tastes, including quite a few vegetarian choices. All of their ingredients are super fresh, too. The reason I am not giving them the "perfect" rating is because it seems everyone else knows about them too. The place is always crowded, service is slow, and the acoustics are awful. I can't resist the pizza, but I order it to go. more

Tasty wood-fired pizza 8/16/2005

This place has fantastic pizza... thin crust, good tasteing sauce, fresh and unusual toppings (like shaved fennel), and that wonderful smoky flavor that comes from a real wood-fired pizza oven. They also sell great salads (with large enough portions that you could make one a dinner) and gelato. After many chaotic months in the begining, Tutta Bella seems to have gotten its methods under control and is now a really pleasant place to eat. There was a hike in the prices in the last year, which while still fair, make the restaurant a little bit more expensive to visit. The restaurant can get busy, but they have the endearing trait of often offering a small glass of free house red wine while you wait. Overal, this is a great place with good food and a nice waitstaff. more

Amazing Pizza 8/16/2005

This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant, and it's not even in my own neighborhood. Tutta Bella's got a laid back vibe—perfect for a casual meal, dinner with old friends, or families—and great food. My favorites are the Salerno salad (lots of fresh mozzarella cheese!), and the Mediterranean Pizza. This place gets very crowded during dinner hours, so expect a wait. But the staff offers wine samples and even appetizers to those waiting, so it's not so bad. And, there's gelato for dessert. And free coffee or espresso with dessert. Plus beer & wine, and the occasional live music act. more

pizza at it's BEST 8/11/2005

Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria is my favorite pizza restaurant in Seattle. Whenever I'm in the mood for pizza - this is where I go 9 times out of 10. They have the BEST pizza and the most amazing service. Very friendly atmosphere and the prices are amazing as well! Great salads too! By far the best pizza in the world, in my opinion. Fresh and abundant toppings every time! more

Tutta Bella is a family favorite 7/10/2005

Our entire (extended) family loves this place. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the Neapolitan-style pizza! Accompany your favorite pizza with one their tasty salads and don't forget dessert, too. Tasty tiramisu and, of course, gelato make this a fun dining experience. more

Great family spot! 7/7/2005

Recently had a family dinner here, on a *Tues* night & the place was packed! It really is a pizza joint as this is essentially all that they serve. Order a few and share! Same for the salads! Pizza Bianco was great :) While they have a good beer and wine selection, you can also bring your own wine and pay a $10 corkage fee, which is what we did. Given the size of our group, I found the staff to be very patient and accommodating. I will definitely be going back! more

The Best Pizza In Seattle 7/2/2005

Our whole family loves this place. The pizza is terrific. Crisp. Thin crust. Delicious cheese. The service is great. It is hopping. When crowded they give out free wine to the adults and pizza sticks to the kids. Our favorites are the Prosciutto e Rucola and the Spicy Sausage. But the kids cheese pizza is great too. And don't forget the gelato! more

If You Want an Authentic Great Pizza! 5/7/2005

While most of known pizza joints here in Seattle have disappointed me, this pizzeria has pleasantly surprised both me and my husband. The place is located in the Columbia City district which seems to be undergoing some sort of upgrading efforts. The pizzas here are what you may expect in Italy or New York. The thin crust baked in their brick oven is the basis for their great pizzas, making the simple Margherita Pizza (just with tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella) amazingly tasty. The restaurant atmosphere is casual and cozy; perfect for any occasion. more
