counterfeit 7/26/2011

Hi, I was at San Pablo on July 23 almost midnight, I went to the cashier to change my 80$ ticket, since I never thought a Cashier would have counterfeit money I asked her for bills in 10's and lo and behold one of the 8 10's was fake.. I told one of the guys walking around that the cashier had given me a fake 10, he just took it and went to get the boss guy.. and they all came up to me and asking if i had more???? hello the cashier gave it to me.. now im wondering what if San Pablo is doing money laundering.. how can a Casino Cashier not notice it being counterfeit bill?? im pretty much pissed but I will do something about it.. =) now that I see im not the only one.. everyone who has this happened to should come forward.. more

My God, I got splashed by a drink as soon as I walked in. If your looking for someone that just got out of prison...look no further,. They took out the Poker, the machines have a special card for people on welfare. Tight machines I mean TIGHT, License to steal!! more

Casino San Pablo is different!! 8/1/2009

I have been there a number of times. The place really scares the heck out of me. The clientele is the worst of the worst. The food was "great" a year or so ago but really has taken a dive. Seems like the money they make goes somewhere else. May be the Indians? California could use the tax revenue...Well look at the location. What else can you expect?? Check it out for your self. The best part is they have no competition. more

As if the slots weren't enough... 3/27/2009

to make this the absolute worst gaming experience in California if not the entire nation (all machines are bingo style and with the exception of a jackpot every now and then, usually around only $1200, everyone is sitting around looking depressed watching their money dwindle away) I was mugged in the middle of the casino. Unbelievable? I know. And it took security 20 minutes to even take a report! As I chased the mugger out of the casino the guard at the door pointed and said, ""they went that way."" When I returned to the machine I was playing, the guy who had been sitting near me was playing the credits I had left on the machine! I never received any apology or follow up - it was as though this was a common event, and it probably is. The only double-jeporady casino in existence. Pros: convienent location Cons: too many to list more

It's not that bad........... 3/13/2009

Casino San Pablo is not for everyone. I go all the time but wouldn't want my mom to go alone. I just got back about an hour ago and won. I don't really fit in there but no one really cares. A lot of the reviews listed below are true. There are a lot of people that should not be gambling with there cash aid checks. personally i hate the daub button. but when i want to GAMBLE and try to make a little extra cash then San Pablo is the ticket. The food sucks the service is even worse but take it from me you can win there. more

Electronic Bingo with entertaining slot machine display 10/3/2008

The gaming machines look and sound like Nevada slot machines and that's where it ends. These are electronic bingo machines. The slot machine reel and video displays are for entertainment display only from what is posted right next to the large display that no one reads or understands. I usually play the $1 machines.\r You play against others, you tap the DAUB button, when told, to mark the drawn numbers on your bingo card display. If you're lucky to get the best bingo patterns (see the other payout display screens) in the first 5-11 numbers drawn you'll get one of the payouts, hopefully the top jackpot payout like I did one year ago ($4k) on a $1 machine. My next lucky hit on another $1 machine ($15k) just missed the top $25k payout in January of this year. Then I was lucky to hit $1.5k a month later on the same machine. All fun to win but I'll be taxed by the state and the Fed. Coffee and bagel at the snack bar helps me in the mid morning sessions. I haven't used my earns points for t more

Ghetto Casino - New Victims Needed 8/10/2008

If your car is broken into or your purse is stolen, dont expect the cameras to be of assistance. They are only there to protect the casino's money and never seem to help out when we the patrons become victims of a crime. But dont you get caught cashing out left over pennies on the slots, the security will jump on you in minutes for stealing from the casino. Many locals who come with no money to get their hussle on are wandering looking for someone winning for handouts after cheering you on and claiming they brought your good luck. Gangbangers and people gambling on government checks so lookout on friday and saturday nights, especially on the first of the month. The majority of patrons are Oakland and Richmond residents which make these city's what they are today. more

Bad place to be 6/24/2008

This place does nothing but cause hugh family problems. Many people that go here are addicted to gambling. The slot machines are very addicting for most of the people. They lie and steal so they can continue to go to this terrible place. more

SLOT MACHINES ARE A SCAM! 6/22/2008

I'v been there 2 times, the first time i spent $60 with en seconds on slot machine, they look & sound like regular slots but when you think you win you dont, because somehow there all connected to a bingo game & you have to hit on both bingo & slots to win then tht gets divided among all other people playing, so if your playing & get a good spin you think your going to get what the slot says BUT you really only win like .72 cents! (very confusing/manipulating) its a rip off they need to put BIG signs in casino stating tht the slots aren't played same as a real casino. if your looking to play slots, DONT go here its a waste of your money! as far as service i didnt see any. more

Nice Casino 5/21/2008

This casino has something for everyone. All the latest slot machines from 1cent to $5 machines. I love to play the Alien Machines.\r They also have Poker at friendly low-limit Tables, they also have no-limit Poker with a $100 Buy-In, very affordable. On the week-ends they have $65 Buy-In Poker Tournaments.\r The casino also offers Blackjack, Double-Hand Poker, Three Card Poker and Pai-Gow Tiles.\r Worth a Look See, I liked it. more

Casino San Pablo 11/18/2005

My wife and I decided to visit one of the closest casinos to us which is Casino San Pablo. The view from outside is pretty attractive and almost looks like were in Las Vegas. Once we got inside I didn't see what I expected. I thought the inside would be as pleasing as the outside but no. They had most of the card table from poker to ma jong which was good. It wasn't as packed as Las Vegas so thats good too. We didn't stay long just because my wife and I aren't much gamblers. more

Just okay. 11/7/2005

I have only been to the Casino San Pablo a couple of times and I would have to say that its an okay place to go for some casino fun. The building reminds me of Arabian palace with the domed roofs and palm trees in front. They have plenty of parking and they also have a restaurant within. more

It's an adventure 11/4/2005

I have driven by Casino San Pablo many times but never ventured inside until last month. I met a friend in the bar for a drink - seemed like a fun way to see what was going on inside the casino. Although the exterior is sort of glitzy and casinolike (in my mind, anyway), once you are inside it's rather disappointing overall. I didn't realize that smoking was allowed in the casino, which didn't please me (all I could think of was the secondhand smoke and how the stale smell would permeate my clothing and hair - ick!). Drinks were the going rate, not even at casino-rockbottom prices. Food didn't seem to be a bargain either. There is a dining area and a snack bar. Clientele appeared to consist of folks who shouldn't be spending what money they had on gambling. There is apparently no dress code. The interior is a little rundown and felt grubby overall. more

A gambler's place 9/26/2005

Casino San Pablo isn't stacked up to what it should be. I really thought this would be a nice casino in the East Bay but not when you get inside. This place would only please a real gambler. I don't gamble much so it really doesn't bother me and to think they were trying to expand this place. Good thing the board didnt pass that or all hell would break loose here. Freeway would be traffic and it would probably attract some of the worst crowds. more

Casino San Pablo 9/15/2005

The closest Casino to me but not the best. Its located pretty close to the freeway which is a good thing and they have plenty of parking spaces. Its not in a very good area though. Its seems like they need to remodel the inside because it seems like its lacking decoration. I'm not much of a gambler but have been here a couple of times to watch and eat at they're restaurant. They have great food there! more

take you for your money 7/6/2005

I met up with a couple of friends here at Casino San Pablo. One of my friends had been a member and remembered having a good time here. The casino is relatively easy to get to and spot, it is right off of highway 80 and you can see the sign from the freeway. The decor and construction is mid to high class, I didn't get any creepy vibes from shady people or cigarrette burned chairs. The staff is friendly and eager to serve. The only big con here is the sky-high table limits and minimum bets. I was out of my money before I had even given the place a once over. more

Unimpressive... looks and feels like something out of a ghetto 5/27/2005

This shabby looking casino is far from a local favorite. It is often empty and the casino goers tend to be unemployed men. If you're looking for a good time, this is not where you'll find it. The one plus-side to this place is that buy-ins for tournaments are cheaper than at larger casinos. more
