Very disappointed with my 6yr old daughters visit to TLC. Ms Rose usually charges me $65 to do my daughters braids. When my husband brought my daughter she charged him $105 and when I called and asked her why she said my daughter is older now. I replied, she is still 6!! WTH for real!! Half of her braids have fallen out:( Terrible, terrible service. Will NOT be going back and will tell EVERYONE I know NOT to go there!! more

When Mama was alive TLC was one of the best places for ethnic hair. During the past couple of years though they have gone down hill. Pam, her daughter is a great gal, however recently a visit to them for my son in law turned very ugly. Ester, the male barber was asked to cut off one inch of sons hair. He started by cutting off two inches. My son in law was very angry and disappointed, but didnt say anything and paid for the poor job. When daughter and son went in to ask for a refund they were taken into a back room and an argument ensued over the hair cut and the quality of the work done. Eventually they were given a refund, but not without my daughter coming home very upset, crying and feeling very humiliated by the confrontation. As a mother, I am very angry that they put my 17 year old daughter and 18 year old son in law through this. Had I known they would have been subjected to such treatment I would have gone there with them, but wanted them to learn how to stand up for themselves. Trust me......they are lucky they dealt with these inexperienced kids rather this mother bear! NEVER EVER put your family through this type of emotional abuse that was experience by my family. No hair cut is worth it. I am not a beautician or barber, but I could have done a better job for free. Of course this is simply my opinion....after having been a ten year customer I hope its worth something to you. BEWARE! more

I love this place, they have done such a good job on my hair, i refuse to go anywhere else. If you plan on going here you have to have an open schedule. They seem to work on two people at a time but its nice because they do such a good job. For example my hair should have taken at least 2 hours but instead it was 4 hours, Just have an open schedule. They are wonderful every body there...I LOVE TLC!!! =) Pros: price, cleaniness, professional Cons: they seem to do two people at a time more

I went to TLC to have my hair highlighted. Sid recommended I go totally blonde. I was secpitcal but he said to trust him. My hair is the most beautiful blonde I have ever had on my hair. . The people are very friendly and the price I paid for my hair, waxing and haircut was VERY reasonable. I highly recommend TLC for people who are on a budget and want good service. Pros: friendly staff, good prices they do what you want not what they want Cons: very busy and tried to do two people at a time. more
