unreliable unprofessional company 4/11/2012

Rocky completed a portion of the work he was hired to do and told me he would return the following day to finish. He called me and cancelled the work appointment for the next day, then showed up the following day 3.5 hours after he said he would be there. He did not have the time to complete the work due to getting there late, so he showed up three days later to finish and found he did not have the correct tools for the job. At that point I was fed up; I had already paid for the work and I requested reimbursement for the work not completed. Reimbursement was never provided. I told Rocky that he obviously did not value his customers or their opinions of his work. DO not hire this company - T and R will cause you more problems than you started with. more

Completely incompetent and fraudulent 9/7/2011

My home warranty company called AHS to diagnose and repair a faulty shower valve. This is a summer home two hours away from my primary home. I took the day off on Thursday to meet Rocky (the plumber) at my home. He was supposed to be there between 10am - 2pm. He didn't show up nor did he call. I called T&R plumbing and had him tracked down. He told me that he didn't realize how far it was and asks if he can come the next day (Friday) at the same time. Same thing, no call, no show! I track him down again and he tells me its just too far and I need to find someone else. I wasted two days waiting around for the plumber who had no intentions of ever showing up. My warranty company told me that they had no other plumbers in my area and that I am stuck with this outfit. They put some pressure on T and R plumbing and the plumber shows up a week later to diagnose the problem. He tells me that the shower handles need to be replaced. I'm not an expert but the valves seemed like they were stripped, not the handles. Weeks later and several phone calls to T&R, I get the plumber to come back to install new handles. He buys two (instead of three) cheap universal handles and attempts to install them. He forgot the screws and would have to come back. He finds screws in his van that are too long so he cuts them. Now they are two short. Complete incompetence. He then proceeds to tell me how much money he is losing by having to drive all the way to my house. I refrain from telling him how many days off of work I have taken and what that is costing me. Several weeks go by and another round of phone calls gets Rocky to show up again. He installs the universal handles on the hot/cold valves but tells me that he cannot find another universal valve for the middle valve. My guess is that he just forgot and didn't want to deal with it. After he installs these, they still turn freely and do not operate the valves like they should. The shower is inoperable and he leaves my house and said, if I have any more problems to call the warranty company. I do just that and find out that T & R plumbing was paid from (AHS) my warranty company to replace an entire shower valve assembly. Instead Rocky simply glued on some universal handles. Completely fraudulent! AHS sent another qualified plumber to my house and immediately the gentleman told me that the valves are completely stripped and there is nothing for the universal handles to grip onto. There is no way for this solution to work. The only solution is to replace the valve assembly. My dilemma now is T&R was already paid by the warranty company to replace the valve assembly. My only option is to bombard them with phone calls to get them back to my house to do the work properly or pay for the whole thing myself with a different plumber. This is now three months after this whole thing started. more
