My sister and I both had our senior portraits taken by Tom a few years back and had such a great experience!! He is professional, but humorous enough to make anyone feel at ease. I have had the pleasure of working with Tom for over 30 years. He photographed many of the weddings I provided flowers for, photographed several commericial projects, including a book, and most recently was our guest photographer at my home decor store. His work is artistic and exciting, which comes from his amazing ability to work with his clients and make them feel comfortable in front of a camera. He makes the process fun and enjoyable and people open up to his wonderful sense of humor and love of creating a very special portrait for them. He has an innate ability to capture perfect moments in time for his clients. Regarding commercial work, I have worked with photographers in several of the major cities and Tom's ability to work with lighting and set design is excellent. I have a company called Natural Wonders, it provides one of a kind Green Gift Baskets. Tom Schimdt's artistic, creative, and inspired photos of my baskets have assisted me in growing my businesss. I had taken my baskets to a another photographer - only to be very unhappy with the results. Not so with Tom, his energy and ability to understand what the clients wants comes out in the photos he produces. He takes the time to get it right. I constantly get comments on the pictures of the baskets, asking "who took these they're a great representation of the baskets". I highly recommend Tom Schimdt Photography to anyone. 15 years ago, a friend had some pictures of their daughter, taken by Tom Schmidt of T A Photography. I am sort of a snob when it comes to photography and was suprised at how her personality and little girl sweetness stood out in the photos. The creativity and quality was stunning. Since then, Tom has only improved. Recently I saw a set of wedding pictures that he had taken and again I was amazed. My was opinion was recently validated by readers of our local newspaper when T A Schmidt Photography was voted "Best of the North State" (California) which he has won, along with other professiona awards, multiple years in a row.. more

His work looks pretty good but it is not very artistic because it is usually a duplication of something he has done before that someone liked. My biggest problem is the lack of professionalism, this guy is a little strange. This is a personal opinion but I would go elsewhere. His prices are a little high for what you get. more
