We were very excited to discover this store earlier this year, and have been good customers there, until today.\r

A week ago, I bought a winter coat there and wore it to work each of the past 7 days. The coat turned out to be of poorer quality than I'd hoped, especially for the price I paid. Today I tried to return it. Their stated return policy is within 60 days, with or without a receipt. I still had my receipt, so I anticipated no problems whatsoever.\r

Boy, was I wrong. As soon as I asked to return the coat, I was immediately treated as though I'd done something terrible. The cashier called over the manager, who said I had worn the coat. Yes, I had, for the past week. Why would that be a problem? This wasn't a prom dress here; I didn't buy this coat just to wear it a couple of times and return it. I wore it for a week and found it didn't work for me, and I brought it back to the store in good faith that they would honor their return policy.\r

The bottom line: they didn't. They didn't even acknowledge the signs all over their store that said you could return something within 60 days, nor the statement on the receipt itself to that effect. They were downright nasty, something I'd never encountered in a store before. I was too stunned and humiliated to put up much of a fight, unfortunately.\r

The bottom line: in keeping the money they would've had to refund me for the coat, they lost far more money in lost revenue from my husband and me due to their horrible customer service and lack of business ethics. We loved that store and would've returned often. Not now. And I'm telling anyone who'll listen. Buyer, beware. It's worth a few extra bucks to me to shop elsewhere and not be treated like a criminal.
Pros: Less expensive
Cons: Unethical practices and rude staff
