We have always taken our Pug Bugsy to Sylvan Vetrinary clinic on Sylvan Ave. in Modesto and we have always boarded him there when we had to leave him. We liked the idea of boarding him with his vet since they knew him and had always taken such good care of him. I have had a few minor issues with his boarding care but they were not significant enough to say anything until Now! When I dropped Bugsy off for a 3-4 day boarding I let them know what I brough of his and how to feed him and what care I wanted, and that he has had issues with ear infections and I wanted them to check his ears every day and clean them if needed. When I picked bugsy up to go home he was a bit to anxious to get out of there, which worried me because he has always liked going there. When we got home I checked him over and read the daily report they gave me. It said nothing about them actually checking his ears, it was reported that they should walk him, feed him twice a day and check his ears, and give him his treats. The only things (according to thier own report that they did) was feed him and walk him. I checked his ears and the right one that he always has problems with was just full of black gunk, and the bag of treats I took for him had not even been opened. After watching him all the rest of that first day we have found that he has a fever and is very dehydrated. I called and talked to a manager, she told me that everyone that worked with him over the weekend said that his ears were checked everyday and that there was nothing to report. I told the Mgr. that I would bring him back in if she did not believe me, she said that wasn't necessary, but they would like to see him and check him out. I told her that I would find a vet that would care for him the way they say they do. I paid for them to watch and care for him, now they want me to pay for them to check out thier miscare of him???? I DON' T THINK SO !!!! iF HE IS REAL SICK i WILL BE SUEING THEM ! J. Rogers
