I sold my bike on consignment with Victor at MotoClub di Santa Monica. Overall it was a great experience. Victor was extremely communicative, and helpful. There were a couple of i...

FAST, FRIENDLY, AND HONEST!!! AWESOME MOTORCYCLE SHOP! 1/21/2009

First off I'd like to say going to Motoclub is 100000000% BETTER than going to your local dealership when it comes to repairs and parts. The Owner of the store Victor makes you feel like a friend rather than someone who's trying to dig deep in your pocket. Friendly Staff, Service is quick and precise. Best of all... they Don't try ripping you off by making unnecessary repairs or pushing you to buy this or that. They get to know what kind of rider you are and what your looking to accomplish. Victor is a good guy with good intentions. He occasionally invites me to go to the track with ""motoclub"" for trackdayz. Motoclub is the place to go whether you're looking to purchase some after market parts, oem parts, or even get repair work done. They are fast reliable and honest. I guarantee you won't have a bad experience with them. Pros: Always Hooks it up with the Prices! more

Above and Beyond 9/15/2008

Female rider, here. I grew up in Oregon and road bikes for six years before I moved to L.A. Here I had a 5 year break from riding and just a month ago invested in a bike again in order to tackle the rising cost of gasoline. Long story short...I've been into Moto Club 6 or 7 times, the first time to buy a new front tire, second time to replace my battery...and all others to ask questions about my new bike and the way it worked as well as questions about riding in L.A. I felt totally taken care of and encouraged as a 'born again virgin' rider by the staff at the shop without a hint of anything condescending (which can be a factor for a female rider). And, I felt that they genuinely cared about my safety and the safety of my bike. Thank you! Pros: Down to Earth and fully explicatory more

Very good service, friendly, good prices! 2/11/2008

I had some problems with my Vespa, it was leaking fuel. They immediately knew what was going on and in half an hour later my scooter was fixed for a very good price. more

The only place I will ever take my bikes..... 1/17/2008

I've been riding for many years and I've have had a lot of bad experiences with motorcycle shops. Several months ago I bought a new bike and took it in to these guys when it started overheating. I assumed it was a fan problem so I gave them my credit card to order a new fan. I got a call a couple hours later (which was a lot faster than expected). Their mechanic told me he had found a way to fix it without replacing the fan (which probably saved me hundreds of dollars). They only charged me a small fee for the diagnostic. They also topped off all my fluids and fixed a broken light without being asked to do so, and without charging me. Pros: Totally trustworthy and all around great service. Good prices too. Cons: Wish they were open on mondays! more

UNBEATABLE PRICES, KNOWLEDGABLE, AND VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY! 10/24/2007

Very pleased with the knowledge and service over at MotoClub! So much that I drive almost 40 miles to get all my parts and service done when I have a place I could go to 5 minutes from my house. The prices are UNBEATABLE! And as far as parts, if it's not in stock, they can have it for me within 1-2 days! Victor and his staff are very professional and are definitely all about customer service. They even have BBQ's on Sundays when there's a MotoGP race, tons of food and drinks, my wife and I have attended several and look forward to more in the future! Definitely a place worth checking out, you won't be disappointed! Pros: Great prices, great service, knowledgable staff, very customer friendly more

helpful, knowledgeable and NICE 10/8/2007

these guys are all really nice and helpful and the shop has an easy, neighborhood vibe. if they don't have what you need they'll order it and get it in a day or two. i don't know what the story was with this place before the change of ownership but i have never had a problem. definately worth checking it out. more

AWESOME AWESOME! Especially under new ownership 7/3/2007

I'm not a bike expert. In fact, I'm a novice... and I'm a girl. But I am picky about where I shop for my bike and auto stuff. This place is not only a great place to shop for gear because of their selection - actual stuff for girls, and lots of cool gear for guys, used bikes galore, and a service department - but also because if they don't have it, they can get it in a matter of days. They carry my favorite brands- ICON and ALPINE STARS too. But... the real reason I was struck to write a review is because most recently, I special ordered new mirrors for my bike. When they came in (which was almost overnight) - they didn't fit. That was my bad. However, Victor, owner of the shop, came up with a custom solution with his service team to help fit the new mirrors beautifully. I know that a set of custom fit mirrors might not make you have the fireworks I've got over it, but I'm ecstatic because I now know where to go if I need anything, large OR small. With the friendly, fast, and very on-the-fly-custom service I recieved that day, I'm happy to recommend them to anyone. Oh yeah... and I haven't been in there to actually enjoy them, but I've heard that they have track day parties with food and such on live race days. more

No Complaints 5/31/2007

I travel to LA from the UK on a regular basis and stumbled across Hammy Boys/Pacific Coast for the first time this May. I thought the staff were top notch and very helpful. The young lady behind the counter went to great lengths to ensure that the jacket I wanted was ordered and delivered before I had to catch my flight back to the UK and the top man at the store even agreed to a small discount on the item which was a nice touch. There were a number of regular customers in the shop knocking back some sushi who were equally friendly and offered advice on the fit of the jacket etc. All in all it was a great experience and although I have no idea what the store was like prior to October, I can assure you that Victor has been good to his word and is now offering a great service at competitive prices. I wouldn't normally post a review on a site like this but I know what it's like to run your own business and understand that bad reports spread much faster than good ones. I can see the enthusiasm Victor has to building the reputation of his business and wish him and his staff all the best. Keep up the good work Victor and I'll see you guys again when I'm next in town. more

New Owner 10/22/2006

To ""tamaslobo"", ""motoguy"" and any one else who has walked through the doors of Hammy Boys Motosports before October 16th, 2006 and did NOT walk out COMPLETELY SATISFIED, I understand how you feel. I was a customer of Hammy Boys many times over the years and witnessed, first hand, the deterioration of the service. Pros: The new owner will go great lengths to satisfy his customers, no matter how big or small the order. Cons: ... more
