Sycamore Lane Kennels

The obedience classes here were great, they were nothing like the older reviews here! There are now only 15 dogs per class, with two instructors per class. On any given night, the average attendance was 12-13 dogs which was a perfect number. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and patient. I would definitely recommend this place! more

We tried the training classes (two, then we quit for good) and were horrified. The class was grossly overcrowded and had only one instructor. The instructor (who clearly had no formal training) was harsh and incompetent. She would tell one owner one thing and another something totally different. She said they only used positive reinforcement, but then called dogs out and VERY roughly jerked them around on their leashes and yelled at them. There was nothing positive except the treats. She rushed through command after command (lieterally doing 6-8 a night). My poor dog was so confused by the end of the hour that he wouldn't even sit anymore. He just stared at me in confusion. Save your dog, and yourself, the heartache. more

The obedience class was total chaos. One very actively agressive large German Shepherd put everyone on edge. The classes were over booked with only one instructor. Not a good experience. I plan to kennel with them after reading the other reviews but do not plan so sign up for any more classes. It was a waste of my time and money more

Great Kennels beautiful grounds . But the dog obedience training class they offer are awful . \r They have the one instructor and helper trying to teach twenty five dogs and owners all at the same time . \r If we had known this before hand no way would we have enrolled our dog in this class. PURE CHAOS ! more

This is absolutely the best place to board your pet. From the second you walk into the office everyone goes out of their way to make you (and your pet of course) feel welcomed and at ease. The staff there is the perfect balance of friendly and professional.\r \r We left our Chihuahua there for five days and when we picked her up she was not only healthy and happy, but they gave us two photos of her playing and a "Report Card" on her group play days.\r \r Sycamore Lane Kennels is a beautiful property and they offer lots of activities to choose from. Definitely five star. more

As much as I would like to limit the number of people who use Sycamore Lane Kennels for my own selfish reasons, I couldn't help but write about this great place. The people at Sycamore Lane are the best. I wouldn't trust any one else with my dog, Joey and I never trusted any one else with my last dog, Heidi. They always gave Heidi the attention and cuddling that an older dog needed when she was away from home and now they give Joey the fun time a young dog needs when he is away from home. Their food is top quality and so are their facilities, including their beautiful property with the Sycamore covered and Rose lined lane. My wife and I have been customers at Sycamore Lane since 2001 and we have always been happy with their services and the way our dogs looked when we picked them up. more

The grooming is fantastic. I would recommend this salon to everybody. My dog was happy and well taken care of. They use the best products and treat my dog as an individual. The hair cut was dog like a show dog. The is no one in the area that can groom as well as they can. more

We've done obedience training with both of our dogs at Sycamore Lane and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made with regard to the health and happiness of my pets. Wonderful, patient instructors whos experience is obvious. We will always train our dogs at this facility, it was worth every penny. more
