Sweet P's Southern Kitchen

Just tried Sweet P's for the 1st time a couple of months ago and I wish I had tried it a long time ago! This place is fantastic! I think I would eat there everyday if I could. The meats and vegetables that I have tried have all been incredible and the portions are huge. I can barely even eat it all and I'm a big guy with a big appetite. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's about time Piedmont opened a good country-style cooking restaurant with meats, vegetables, burgers, subs, appetizers...pretty much whatever you want. We decide to give the new restaurant a try on hwy 86 Piedmont SC. The food we was served was nasty. When came to the bbq pork it was chopped and then from the look of it put on skillet to warm it . The pork it self was very distasteful as it was loaded with fat and hardly no taste. The beef brisket was sliced and then fried on skillet. The taste and texture for the brisket was destroyed by it been fried. The smoked turkey was dry and no taste of smoke. The bbq ribs was overcooked and smoothered in bbq sauce to try hide it. The portion sizes was horrible. The pork maybe 1\4 lb , the brisket was 2 slices, the turkey 1 semi slice rest crumbs and ribs was 3 bone section. The cost of 13.00 a plate with 2 meats 2 vegs. The vegs was out of can or frozen with no southern touch added. The mac and cheese wasnt dry but had very little cheese component to it. more
