My favorite restaurant in the Piedmont Triad. Yummy, Southern comfort food served up in a warm, cozy environment. The owners take sincere pride in their food and use local ingredients whenever possible. This place is packed on Friday and Saturday nights--be prepared to wait, even if you have a reservation. Last summer, Dave Chappelle and his posse tried to get a table the night I was there and ended up leaving because it was too packed. Things to try: PImento Cheese with crackers/veggies as a starter, followed by either the shrimp and grits or the stuffed salmon florentine, and sweet potato cheesecake for dessert. Also, the restaurant is in the heart of the Arts District which is getting busier by the day with all the new construction and projects.
Pros: Food, ambience, service
Cons: Parking can be tricky on Friday and Saturday nights
