Best Chai Latte & Fresh Crepes! 6/8/2008

So much better than Starbucks, Sweet Eugene's is an excellent place to go hang out or read. As a local, I enjoy it during the summer time when the students are (mostly) gone. I avoid at all costs during finals time, however it is worth going through the drive-thru to get the drinks. I don't use the wi-fi, but it is offered. Pros: Fresh Crepes! You can even watch them make them. Cons: Uber-Busy during finals time. What can you expect, it's a college town. more

What DID happen?? 7/2/2007

Wow!! No more live music?!?!?! And, if someone lights another noxious incense stick I think the building should be razed! There is no atmoshpere left here to liven or inspire. . . . not to mention, this town has been non-smoking for going on five years. Worth the drive-thru at best. Unless you are really going to study and not care who they let out of the kiddie cages for the hour, avoid at all costs. more

A tradition worth living up to 3/1/2006

Sweet Eugene's is a great place to go in town. It has some real atmosphere and character, and pretty good coffee at that. Worth going to for sure. Pros: atmosphere Cons: not the cheapest more

What happened? 1/25/2006

Sweet Eugenes used to have live music on the weekends. It still has somewhat the same atmosphere, but I think this is because people think ""this used to be cool, let's give it a try."" It is a great coffee shop to hang out with friends without alcohol. 95% of the customers are students of A&M- half ""studying"" and half socializing. Great place to go after a date that you don't want to end. Pros: atmosphere, service more
