DISAPPOINTMENT 2/19/2011

With Much anticipation my sister and I had been planning for some time to go to Orlando to visit Sweet by Good Golly Miss Holly. Drove 1.5hr from Tampa. With all the hipe from Cupcake Wars it never crossed our minds that we would be at all disappointed. Well as soon as we walked in disappointment stared at us right in the face. The place was filthy, nothing that I would expect from a cupcake shop that had been hiped on Cupcake Wars. You would think with so much publicity that they could at least keep the place clean and welcoming. The Yogurt stations were dripping all over and the spouts had crust all around. It seemed very disorganized and extremely way too small. Between the people that were just standing in front of the yogurt stations for ""samples"", and the crowd that was in front of the cupcakes an extended amount of time deciding which cupcakes they were going to buy and the people that were in the tables, there wasn't much room for the people that were actually going to go in and buy something. On top of that you would expect the people that work there to be friendlier and chipper. All this before I even tasted a cupcake and yogurt. On the way outside to savor these famous cupcakes I thought it would be best to take my son to the restroom so I would not have to fight the crowd again inside. The bathroom was disgusting. Paper all over, trash overflowing and looked like it hadn't been clean for days. I didn't even let him use the rest room that was right next to the kitchen.\r Finally outside and tasted my first cupcake.... the only thought I had was ""That's it?!"" Super disappointed. Seems like they like to make the cupcakes look cute with so my fluff but the taste was lacking in some. Plain Jane and Mint Chocolate was not bad but seemed to be a batch that had been there for awhile. Smores was not what I expected... the main ingredient Marshmellows was lacking and replaced by alot of icing. With all that being said I feel like sending them and invoice to pay my milage! Never again. \r more

Best Cupcakes 8/19/2010

I have been eating these fantastic cupcakes for years, and they only get better! I've ordered them for birthdays and special occasions, they were a hit at my girlfriends baby shower last summer. They have a large variety of flavors, something for everyone, even for people how don't like sweets. The only downside is that they don't have all the flavors everyday. One of my favorites, the black and gold, is only available on Sundays but I rarely get a chance to go up there on Sundays. The Boston Cream is a MUST TRY!!! Mondays are $1 minis so if you can't pick a flavor, which I never can, you can have a few! more
