Convenient to the Sovereign Bank Arena on South Broad Street, sits one of Trenton's hidden gems. Sweeney's has GREAT food - Irish specialties like Corned Beef and Cabbage and Irish Stew, but also seafood dishes. Recommended dishes are the hot crab dip, potato skins, fried shrimp, corned beef. Irish music on Friday nights. One of the staples of the music scene is the Bantry Boys, who are terrific! Good decor and friendly service. Sort of like a Cheers type atmosphere, most patrons know each other.
