VI have the unfortunate pleasure to deal with Swanson Flooring over 4 years ago! Might I add this was not my choice , but rather the company, who took care of my house after a house fire.\r
I was asked to go there to choose the laminate flooring in order to replace the one damaged by fire. The laminate I chose was well above the allowance given by the insurance company, so I had to pay a significant amount of money in addition. The floor looked great at first! \r
About a year later, I began noticing huge gaps in the flooring and scratches made by a visiting puppy ( he was running throughout the house, nothing else!) , as well as significant scratches form every day wear and tear! It has to be noted here, that I am somewhat of a neat freak, and take an excellent care of my house, so the scratches were NOT explainable.\r
I contacted Swanson Flooring. Few days later, a "" professional"" came to my house and kicked the gaps in, told me he will not do anything about the scratches and left. Needles to say, I was not satisfied! The gaps reappeared several weeks later, the scratched floor remained.\r
I contacted Swanson, and was told to contact the manufacturer. I did that gladly thinking someone ought to be responsible for their product. To my disappointment I was told the floor I chose is one of the cheepest, and not at all scratch resistant. When I objected and told them I paid a significant more than he quoted , I was told the manufacturer can not control the mark up and I have no valid reason to have my flor replaced.\r
So, dear readers - four and a bit years later I have a floor that looks at least 20-some years old, with gaps, and screeches that won't go away! NOBODY - neither Swanson, not the manufacturer wants to take responsibility for the poor quality of the product. nd poor craftsmanship.\r
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SWANSON FLOORING TO ANYONE AT ALL!!!!
