At Suzy's School of Dance, students will experience a fun and exciting time while learning the fundamental skills designed in performing arts. Each step will be carefully choreographed to help students learn creative dance techniques, rhythm, personal discipline, graciousness, physical wellness, and a positive self-image.. Ballet - The foundation of all dance forms. Ballet teaches proper alignment,placement,posture,poise,and grace. The program also enhances basic,elements,such as balance,and coordination. Barre exercises develop strength and flexibility,while our center works allows students to practice and execute dance principles.
Tap - An original American dance form,tap,emphasizes the beat by making sounds with metal taps fastened to the shoes. Tap shoes as a percussive instrument. The focus is on strong technique and musicality. Classes insist of warm ups floor progressions and combinations.
Jazz - A stylized form of American dance using many rhythms to coordinate and strengthen the body. Jack Cole called it "American Folk dance." Students build strength,flexibility,and stamina though a high impact warm up and rhythmic choreography. Various styles include musical theater,traditional,lyrical,and free style.
