Ok, I'm a little concerned about the depth of knowledge I've accumulated about Susie Cakes treats, but I am hard pressed to name a tastier bakery!
The cake is dense and delicious, the frostings are just fantastic and usually arranged in the correct proportions. A slice of cake really will fill two big eaters, so paying $5.50 isn't a bad deal at all. I'm quite partial to the marble cake, with the fudge cake a nice second choice to mix in once in a while. The confetti cake looks like it has too much food coloring in it for me, but it is starting to call my name!
However, my absolute favorite is a special order - yellow cake with the fudge icing. It is the best of both worlds and simply awesome! The cakes are so dense that even the little guy probably serves about 10 people; I bought a larger one and we probably got 16 solid portions out of it!
I like the cupcakes, but the cake on those is actually a little too light and fluffy. The frosting is awesome, but I'd still give kara's the nod on these.
