Fun place to have sushi 7/15/2011

Whenever I go into Sushiville the waitresses there are super nice. I do have to wait every once in a while to get my check, but one of the girls explained to me that it is because they were trained not to make customers feel like they're being rushed. So now, I just stand up and they promptly give me my ticket. The prices are fair and they get their fish from the same companies which places like Sinju use but charge 4 times the price. If you are looking for a more laid back atmosphere with nice servers that are all college students and good sushi, then come to Sushiville. more

Has Really Gone Downhill 6/28/2011

When I first started going there a few years ago it was a lot better than it is now. The chefs make good food and it's a convenient location. Prices have gone up, which isn't a big deal, but also the waitresses are terrible now! They are lazy and unhelpful. They stand around in the corner and just talk to each other and don't walk around except maybe once every half an hour. I was there today and the waitress asking what I wanted to drink started walking away before I was even done ordering! I had to finish what I was asking her for while she was a few feet away already. And it wasn't even busy at all! Also, watch out for the creepy hunched over one that looks like a vampire. She is soo awkward and makes me lose my appetite. Also, a bad waitress. If you're done eating and you're ready to get your check, don't be afraid to stand up or holler at one of them, because otherwise they will never come to your table! more

if you don't know sushi 4/7/2010

I'm not a sushi pro. SO sushi restraunts in general intimidate me. I don't like to not knowing what i'm ordering. So this is why i come here. Being the only sushi place i've ate at, besides the trays at the grocery stores, it works for me! You just grab and eat. And sometimes it's good not knowing the name or i might not eat it. Most times i've been here the food was good. Good place for sushi for dummies Pros: grab and eat, good location more

Very Disappointing way to run a sushi restaraunt 3/30/2010

I've ate a lot of Sushi and even had good experiences at carrosel style sushi places. Sushiville is not one of them. I like to eat fresh sushi, and most carrosel style will accomodate this. I order a spicy hamachi hand roll, and a eel tempura roll. As I was waiting for my food, I began to mix my ginger and wasabi. The ginger was obviously old and smelled terrible. In the wasabi pot was a dirty spoon, that look like it had a shrimp skin stuck to it. I got my hamachi roll first and when I bit into it I bit into a frozen piece of fish. Like a frozen fruit bar. I got up and left after paying for my 1 item. Pros: Easy to find Cons: Terrible food, cleanliness more

Horrid Excuse For Sushi 1/16/2009

Having ate sushi at nearly every venue in the city I can honestly say this is the worst sushi I have ever eaten outside of a grocery store/deli counter. With sub par ingredients including, but not limited to, breaded fish sticks and tuna salad, the only thing making this over priced, under serviced meal palatable was heaps of wasabi and a veritable deluge of soy sauce. Even then the stale, bland and haphazardly prepared rolls were often simply uneatable. If someone actually has a craving for sushi of this caliber save yourself 20 bucks and go to Winco. Pros: Its not McDonalds Cons: its Sushiville more

Does not honor their own rewards program, beware. 1/15/2009

Use to be my favorite local place until recently. The food has always been good, but the service last time was horrible. When checking out they refused to honor their own fully filled out rewards card. Were advised owners were present, brought it to their attention, no satisfaction. I nor my family will go there again on principle. Pros: Food is usually good Cons: Service no longer good, owners don't seem care about their customers more

Affordable Sushi that is good 10/11/2007

Wonderful Sushi at a price that is reasonable. I have always enjoyed eating Sushi here and when I leave with a full belly I don't feel that I have been robbed. Service is in line with what I expect from a fast food Sushi Bar. I love the colorfull fish wall paintings too. I will keep going back to Sushiville Gresham. . Pros: Very affordable Sushi Cons: Beer prices are very high.. Suggest drinking water it's free. more

Unsatisfied 6/1/2007

If I go and get sushi, I will end up taking a longer trip just to go to somewhere like Mio Sushi. The flavoring of the sushi at sushiville was bland. The service was not there. And the sushi was definitely over priced Overall unsatisfied, will not go back. more

Deeeeelicious!!!!! 11/8/2006

Let me preface this by saying that, prior to Sushiville, my (and my friend's) experience with sushi was limited to pre-packaged sushi from Winco, Freddies, Safeway, and suburban all-u-can-eat Asian places. With that in mind, my friend and I have become addicted to Sushiville. The bottom line is that everything tastes REALLY GOOD!!! I have since tried ""real"" sushi places both in Gresham and Springfield but I think Sushiville just tastes better. The California Rolls are dreamy. My favorite is the seaweed salad, and the staff remembers this. The offerings on the carousel change and are interesting. If you don't see something you want, they will promptly make it for u. Everything is so fresh that I feel comfortable in ordering the raw items, which a year ago I would never have done. The staff is cheerful, helpful and prompt. The chefs are pleasant and approachable. Other menu items besides sushi are offered as well; I haven't tried them(except for the miso soup) but have heard they are excellent, especially the udon. The decor is warm and relaxing. The music is calming retro. The crowd is ecclectic by Gresham standards: everybody from hipsters, police officers, fashonistas, and families. I can't wait to go back!! Pros: Delicous food, great service more
