Okay fish but very expensive. 5/16/2009

This place has been reviewed badly on Yelp and I wish I had seen those reviews ahead of time. The prices were crazy, but we figured that the portions might be commensurate. Very wrong. They were small, but the bill was large. That would be fine if it were other-wordly sushi. But it wasn't. It was average at best; and the waiting times and service made it worse. If you go, only go during Happy Hour where there's 33% off; but even then I think the prices would be about 20% too high. Pros: Decent sashimi. Cons: Very pricey. Uninventive rolls. more

Crazy-expensive for terrible service & below-average sushi 5/16/2009

There are lots of great sushi places in Solana Beach. Avoid this one. I went with three other people--we were the only ones in the restaurant. It was a battle just to get the food we ordered out to us. When it got there, the portions were small and the fish was cut poorly and suspect. And when the bill came---WOW---it was stunning. If they slashed their prices by 65%, this place might be worth it. Pros: Good mackeral Cons: Bad service. Slow delivery. Sky-high prices. Aloof servers. more
