my wife likes sushi 12/26/2007

My wife and I like sushi so much that we would try drive the distance. Luckily this place just opened around our neighborhood. Sushi Rock is sure to become a place for Sushi lovers. With the touch of Chef Tony's creations you'll want to be more adventurous. He offers a wide variety of rolls and sashimi made ultra-fresh . If you're not so much into sushi, you're still in luck. Try the mini-bites and then work your way to the entrees. Relax at the bar with a Japanese beer or sake and experience what sushi rock has to offer. The friendly staff and the affordable price is what keeps us comming back. Like I said , we used to drive the distance but since gas is so high now, I'd rather save that extra buck for another sushi roll. Pros: good place for parties more

Sushi Rocks!!!!! 12/26/2007

Finally there's a place out here in the burbs, where I can find yummy Sushi and Thai all under one roof. Chef Tony is wonderful. He creates what ever you want. The food is wonderful and the little mini-bites is a wonderful way to start sampling the different dishes. The decor is very spunky meets subburb, and very cozy. This place is very accomodating, it even has room for a party. The price is just right. I definatly recommend this place for Sushi and Thai. more

The only place you need to go for sushi! 12/25/2007

I have been a loyal customer to the sushi chef here for almost 5 years now. I happend to walk into the thai diner in discover mills when it first opened and have been hooked on Tony's creations ever since. Now that he has his own place, he is even more free to try new things. I typically never even look at the menu, just order a couple regular things and tell him to surprise me with the rest and have never been dissapointed. I consider myself somewhat experienced when it comes to sushi, and have been to high dollar joints in buckhead and atlanta, not to mention out of state, and have yet to find a place that comes close to the quality this establishment puts out. Not only is the food fantastic, but tony is quite personable if you sit at the bar and makes for some good conversation while enjoying his newest creation. Pros: Where do i start? Freshest fish around, melts in your mouth, wide variety of rolls Cons: Are you kidding? If anything my only complaint is my house is not closer. I drive from athens to lawrenceville on a regular basis just to eat here. more

WHAT A FANTASTIC PLACE! 12/17/2007

I was visting my Aunt Maryanne for Thanksgiving break and decided I wanted a new taste of Sushi and She told me about this great place to try a new taste of Sushi.\r \r I was all about it since I am from Centerville Georgia and We have a few places are around my area and I just had to see what all the hype was about whenever She told me about it. \r \r I sat there and my tastebuds felt like they were in Heaven, I couldn't ask for a better taste of Sushi, somewhere new and somewere right around the corner from her. I know I was there for Thanksgiving but I'll tell ya what the friendly personalities and the great service with the touch of amazing Sushi just made me realize how much more I need to come back and visit my Aunt. I cannot wait to be there for Christmas next week because on my time spent there I will once again be at Sushi Rock to make my tastebuds squrim with happiness. The Cowgirl was my absolute favourite!! I highly recommend everyone to choose Sushi Rock for their desire of Sushi!! Pros: Convient, Friendly personalties, Awesome environment more

best sushi around and the price is right. 12/17/2007

This is the best restaurant around this area. I love going there anytime and with anyone. It doesn't matter if you're alone, you can sit at the bar and have great conversation with the chef ,or you can come in with friends and eat at a table. The atmosphereis nice enough to take someone on a date but it is very friendly. The servings are large and fun to share with friends or family. There's plenty of parking and it's an easy place to find. I have always had excellent service everytime I've been there. I like sitting at the bar and ordering different rolls with my family. I consider it more of an adventure in taste more than a dinning experience. This is the place to go for sushi. Pros: ease of parking, service, amibience more

Best Sushi in the ATL area! 12/17/2007

Hands down the best. I have eaten at the top 5 places listed on this site and a few other. Every time I end up returning to Sushi Rock. The rolls are huge and packed full of fresh meat! You won't find better sushi and the prices can't be beat, specially when you consider how much meat is in the rolls. \r \r My personal favorites are the Sushi Rock, Two Towers, The Cowgirl and After The Rain. One that's not on the menu that should be is ""The Reunion""! It is packed with meat, in a tofu wrap and is out of this world, Order one and tell Tony, Mike suggested it..LOL! \r \r They also have some Great Thai Curry dishes however, no lie, I seem to end up sitting at the bar enjoying the sushi! Order a nice Ice cold Asahi or Sapporo and don't forget to try the Hot Sake and any of the rolls and you won't be sorry. \r \r The atmosphare is great, The staff is very friendly and this is a good sushi bar to take a date if you want to impress! Since I found Sushi Rock I have eaten there a couple times a week every week so watch out, it's addictive! \r \r If you're a sushi connoisseur then DO NOT pass this place up! Pros: The value for your dollar, The People and most of all the Taste! Cons: When I find one, I'll let you know..besides it's addictive! more
