MUST TRY ... ONCE 10/19/2002

.... IN A WHILE. I found the food at Sushi of Naples to be good. However, I felt the prices were too high. There are many Japanese restaurants around Pasadena that serve better food at more reasonable prices. I ate with two other friends and our bill came out to be over $175!!! Pros: Location, Friendly Servers, Sake Cons: Price, Parking, Too Loud more

Best Sushi on the Planet 8/15/2002

Great atmosphere, great service, great sushi! What more can I say! more

The best 8/7/2002

Sushi of Naples is my favorite Japanese restaurant. I eat there once a week. Great Service, Great Food, Great Prices...No Complaints. I'm there. more

California Rolls Yummy! 6/28/2002

I like coming here. The california rolls are yummy and the rest of their menu is yummy as well. The service is cool and you get seated right away. more

Great for lunch....... 6/28/2002

I can't rate this place on sushi since I like my food cooked but they put out some good lunch choices at a reasonable price. I like the Tempura & Chicken Teriyaki and my favrorite is the Salmon Teriyaki. There is always too much food and I take a ""doggy bag"" back to my desk. Hope you enjoy this place as much as I do. Pros: Lots of food, Reasonable price, Quick service more

Great Fun YUM! 6/27/2002

This is my favorite place in Pasadena to go and eat! The food is great, sake is wonderful and the service is very pleasing. A wonderful place to take a group or just a cozy place for two. Pros: tasty food, good value, good service Cons: kind of loud more

Chicken Teriyaki 6/13/2002

The chicken teriyaki with steamed vegtables is better than average...The chicken is usually tender but flavorless. Good thing for the teriyaki sauce poured over the top. The steamed vegtables were good, no flavoring added, just the steamed natural flavor. more

no raw stuff 6/12/2002

But I enjoyed a combination dinner with tempura and California rolls. I had ok service. They don't appear over friendly, which is fine. I just want to eat. Cons: meter parking more

S-3 with spicy tuna roll 6/10/2002

After frequenting the place for lunch on a regular basis I found the food to be consistently taste. Just make sure you eat a late. Early eaters seem to get older cuts that just don't seem as fresh. Try S-3 with spicy tuna roll. Always a winner Pros: s-3 Cons: a bit pricy more

Consistently good. 6/4/2002

I always go to Sushi of Naples for lunch or for takeout and I'm never disappointed. They have been consistently good over the last two years and I've never had a complaint. more

Great Sushi! 6/2/2002

Sushi of Naples is a great place for good sushi and a down to earth enviroment but I do have to admit that the service isn't that great. I've been there a couple of times and everytime I go the service is the same. I wait for quite a while to get attended to, other then that I recommend this restaurant to people who are looking for good sushi. more

Where's the Service? 5/29/2002

I have been to Sushi of Naples many many times, and the food is consistantly good, however, the service is getting worse each time I go back. Last time I went with my family, everyone was served their dinner except me. they did not bring my dish out until 15 minutes later. Keep up the good work on the food, but if I was the owner, I would put more of an emphasis on the dining patron and their staff's service. more

Cheap and good sushi. 5/21/2002

So, you say you love sushi, and you're in the Pasadena area? Then you should check out Sushi of Naples. Their sushi is really good, and their lunch specials are even better, they'll run you about $5-$7. You can definitely order to go as well. Lunch on Fridays can get a little crowded. Dinners are a bit more expensive, running anywhere from $11-$15, but the dinners are huge, enough to take home for later. Their lunch and dinner combos make this place well worth driving for. Also, nice for a first date. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly waitstaff. If you have a large group of 10 or more, I would recommend making a reservation. Pros: Lunch & Dinner Combos, Ambience, Friendly Service Cons: Limited Parking more

Good lunch spot 5/20/2002

The lunches here are inexpensive and good if not terrific. The California roll comes with mashed potatoes and soup or cucumber salad. I also get a side of steamed vegetables. It takes about ten minutes, and they also make lunch to go. If you stay, try the hot edamame. more

mmm...sushi 5/19/2002

Great lunch specials. The Tiger roll is fantastic. The sushi is good and fresh. The tempura is too greasy, but that's the only complaint I have with this restaurant. more

Budget-minded sushi 5/16/2002

The lunch specials here rock. Not the best sushi ever, but good for the price. Love the Tiger Roll lunch special. more

Delicious! 5/15/2002

I love this place! My favorite is the tiger roll (shrimp tempura roll) and spider roll (soft shell crab roll). Lunch specials are great. It's cheap and good. Pros: Cheap, Good service, Delicious more

Great for lunch 5/14/2002

Stick with the sushi lunch special, usually a California roll and a few slices of cooked fish (the blackened salmon is fabulous). Also included is miso soup, a bowl of rice and fresh fruit like pineapple or melon. Price is about $8, and you'll always leave full. Request a booth instead of a table, which are placed too close together for private conversation. more

Hit and Miss 5/14/2002

Sometimes this place is just bad. Sometimes great though--they do a teriyaki salmon special occasionally that's real tasty, and the sushi is great as often as it is not-so-great (though not well-presented). Overall, the food is more heavier in the tummy than it should be for Japanese cuisine. And what's up with the cold mashed potato with corn in it on the side of combo dishes? But it's pretty great value, just don't go with someone who minds McSushi. more

The Best I've ever had! 5/12/2002

Sushi Naples is the best sushi I've ever had. I love their ruby rolls. I highly reccomend this place. more
