The sushi is usually good but at times the fish is smelling fishy and tastes soggy. All and all, you can get good food there most of the time. more

I am a transplant from Atl and had my favorite place there and am trying places here to find my new favorites. Sushi Maki has an excellent sushi selection in addition there are thai offerings and noodles and many other things. Reasonable prices and good service. Wish they had a full bar but other than that it was great. The Thai iced tea was good and so were the donuts icing dip for dessert! I will be back! Pros: Great sushi, Great variety more

My wife and I have loved this place ever since it opened. We always come here for big occasions. Their sushi rolls are unique and made to impress. I consistently get good service here and it is a pleasure to be a regular customer. Pros: Sushi is best in town Cons: Getting a table more

I came here for lunch and ordered the grilled chicken bento box ($8) which comes with miso soup or salad and 2 dumplings, 4 california rolls, lo mein and edamame. I went with the salad and it was larger than what you get at most Japanese restaurants. The service was excellent and quality of food for the price was excellent as well. I was very content and highly recommend this place for lunch. more

I love Sushi Maki! You have to go there at least once. Try the Dragon rolls. I personally prefer the one in Coral Gables. Pros: Affordable, great atmosphere. Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Sushi Maki is big dissapointment 1/29/2009

Don't order Red Curry Thai (chix or shrimp) because entire dish is a rip off. Tiny tiny serving. In fact, they'll give you a tiny scoop of rice not even sufficient to feed my 2 years old, never mind even one regular adult. Manager was very unhelpful and he actually said that the rice is expensive. Now, while business might be slow, and money is tight for EVERYONE -- even loyal customers like us -- the one staple which should not be skimped on rice and response from mgr. was truly not satisfactory. Pros: sushi rolls okay Cons: Hot dishes, rude waiters and ambiance not so great more

Awsome food, low key, sevice sucks make sure your not in a hurry! Yummy, Yummy. Tip is included in meal so if service sucks don't feel obligated to TIP!! Pros: outside, unique, food Cons: , service, service more
