Susan at Antonino Salon

I have been going to Antonino Salon since my wedding 4 1/2 years ago when Anthony cut and highlighted my hair. He is truly an artist and did a beautiful job then and continues to amaze me each visit. Whether I have a specific request or tell him to surprise me, he is meticulous about making sure my hairstyle is perfect before I leave the salon. I am now a mother with very little time, so he made sure to give me an easy style this morning, and he took the time to show me how to style it myself in under 5 minutes. My mother-in-law has been going to this salon for about 10 years and has always been happy with her cut and color. I also talked my husband into going to get a new cut for our wedding since he has very curly hair and needed a new style; he has been going to Annette ever since. Last year, my coworker, who is extremely particular about her hair, mentioned that she was unhappy with her salon, so I referred her Anthony. She ended up with another stylist due to time, but she has also been a happy and loyal client since her first visit. more

I have been a customer of Antonino Salon for a number of years. I have always gotten an excellent haircut . I am treated like my business matters. The salon is exceptionally well managed. Anthony is a true leader in the community in terms of how to run a business, how to hire and keep good employees, and how to make customers feel that their business is important. My oldest friend got married this past weekend and her, myself and the other maid of honor got our hair and make-up done by Cassie. She did a phenomenal job in about 3 hours. Each of us looked different - the bride's hair was half-up, in loose curls, with pins and the blusher, the other maid of honor's hair was in an updo and mine was very vintage inspired, one side up with waves away from my face. Our make-up was fabulous too. The bride and groom's mother also got their hair and make-up done by other hair stylists and another make-up artist. Everyone had a great time, it was very relaxed, and we finished in about 3.5 hours. We could also buy any product they used so we all purchased the lip color. I was so happy I set up a make-up lesson with Cassie next week. I would HIGHLY recommend this salon for anyone attending an event or needing a new hair stylist. I?m a Florida resident who visits the Detroit area regularly; I had a last minute event to attend and needed a hair appointment immediately. I had no clue of where to go. One of my friends told me about Antonino Salon and Spa so I gave it a try. I got in without an appointment for a massage, hair color, and a manicure. They were so busy and were able to fit me in AND they were so nice about it. I walked out looking great. My husband went in the next day for a haircut and was so happy; I was surprised because getting him to go into a salon is a struggle. They brought him coffee and a magazine and he felt right at home. I didn't know great customer service still existed. The manager Susan was such a pleasure to talk to, we just loved her. If you want a down to earth salon that truly cares about it, visit this place. The prices were reasonable too. more

I visited the salon and had a very warm welcome from the front desk, and I loved my hair It was the best color ans style I have been waiting for years to achieve. Anthony is the best!! I was a former salon hopper and Now I have found the only place in town to continue my hair care needs!!! Next time I plan on staying for a massage.....Thanks again Anthony.......YOU ROCK! more

Amazing professional staff, Very welcoming. Always on top of the latest styles and techniques. I am always welcomed with a warm smile every time I visit. I highly recommend Antonino Salon and Spa to all my friends and family!!! Their gift cards make perfect gifts (they even gift wrap them for you). I went to this salon in hopes of a great color and style. The stylist I had did not listen to what I wanted and had her own ideas of what color my hair should be. I was extremely unhappy with the color and went back for a correction with a picture of what I wanted. Even the second time around, the stylist did not listen to me and my hair didn't even come close to the picture I had shown her. Never going back to her and salon. more

I have been going to the same stylist at Antonino's for almost 25 years, and I wouldn't change! When she goes on vacation, I am literally lost. Fortunately for me, all the personnel are extremely professional, and there is always someone who can fill in on a temporary basis. I have also had manicures and pedicures, and the ladies are teriffic - top notch! The staff is so friendly. I visited another Birmingham salon before I found Antonino's, and the staff couldn't remember me from Adam even after frequenting their salon several times. This would NEVER happen at Antonino's - they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I told my husband we can't leave the State because I can't leave my Antonino's! more

I dont know about that one lady that didnt like this Salon- I think it is amazing I've been going there for years And I wouldn't go anywhere else- Everyone there is so helpfull, nice, and there "Amazing" at what they do. Not to mention the Salon it self is such a clean beautiful Space, I highly recommend this salon. Also, if you are from out of town and are staying at the Townsend it is so convenient "its right across the Street!" Pros: staff, well maintained, classy/modern more

I have been coming to Antonino for 20 years and not only do they have the most educated and talented people working there, they have the reputation for being the most friendly and unpretentious. I know their stylists have won national and international recognition and do much charitable work in their community. more

i have been going to antonino's since my first hair cut. they are the best. and they are moving into a newer, sleeker space. plus, there's going to be a brand new pilates studio below them. it just gets better and better.... more
