Susaki Lounge Sushi Bar

Some friends and I went for drinks and sushi... The service was horrible, they watered down the second round of drinks, and the over-charged us, claiming that the special listed on the menu was a mistake. The sushi was ok, but for the price it should have been better. The atmosphere was decent, but, again, the service was sooo bad. When we finally asked for a manager, he was equally rude and refused to fix our checks. They obviously didn't care if we came back, and I encourage you not to go. (It was so bad that we have filed a complaint with the BBB.) more

I have visited this place once, and I have to say it was one too many times. Horrible service, tasteless food, dirty cups and silverware. Plus 3 out of the 4 plates we had at the table were chipped. Oh, and by the way, this was during there newly remodel ""opening VIP night"" if this is what VIP get, I would hate to see how much worst it would be in a non VIP section. Is like they are trying to make the place a high class lounge, but not willing to invest in the location, equipment or service training. I can not see the place staying open much longer. more

AWFUL....AWFUL..the food was tasteless.....the service poor. Waiters were walking around joking, filing there drink glasses and walking around with their glasses watching customers. The worse part is that my husband became very ill after eating Sushi....and was sick for three days. Seriously avoid this place for many reasons....most importantly your health! more

We went hoping to have a nice romantic date night and instead it was one of our worst experiences. First, the bartender could not make a simple drink I had ordered, then the waiter ""got caught up in a conversation w/another customer"" and forgot to bring our plates & napkins with our appetizer. When the waiter brought the food out he only brought mine, not my husbands. Then I specifically asked for no jalapenos and my dish had jalapenos. They took it back & gave me a new plate which ended up being extremely salty and it had what looked like a scraping from a tin can mixed in. It was such a horrible experience and we will never go there again. Pros: Nice Atmosphere Cons: Not much else was good more

I waslk through the door to the sign that says please wait to be seated. I see the people behind the bars doing their thing, cleaning glasses and only about two maybe three other tables at use with customers. Ten mintues pass and the staff is looking at me periodically and I'm starring at them as if to gesture the obvious problem. Haha. So, I stand for another minute and they all look at me from across the restaurant. Finally, I walk past that stupid little sign to talk to one of the women behind the bar. All in all I didn't know some people needed special training on how to greet customers with common sence. They are hands down the dumbest couple of people I've met in a restaurant. i have been to Susaki about 5 times now, Once during the day and about four times at night during the Dj nights. i very much enjoy myself as well as the company. bar seats are where the better service is, food is fast and because of the view i have never once had a bad drink. the Music from Both the band and Dj are great! when ever i go it's a great get away with out going too far. Dont understand all the fuss on this place. Service is absolutey HORRABLE, and the price for what you get, now thats a joke. First, of all the food is alright, there are better restaurants in town such as Sakura or Shoguns, or Ryoma reasonable priced for the quality and service. Second, the price for drinks, O-ver priced. Come on now, taking a little advantage dont you think? Third, good luck getting a table after 10:00. Im not quiet sure as to why the servers tend to ignor customers as they are walking in, a simple gretting or ""someone will be right with you"" would be fine, but they they seem to be busy running around, maybe they are short staffed or running to catch the latest gossip in the corner of the bar as I later noticed. I'd have to say that the only enjoyable thing was the band. This place has potential to collapse if not managed better to say the least. I read all the reviews prior to mine, and have to disagree about the service. \r I have been to Susaki 3 times in the last two weeks and plan on going back very soon.\r They have great lunch specials and the service has been average to better than average.\r I highly reccommend the susaki meal, which includes a susaki salad. GREAT!\r And not all that pricy, if you get a special.\r I think it's worth checking out.\r more

I went out to susaki on a Thursday, bar was packed, took forever to get drinks, and the drinks i got were watered down. They dilute the drinks. When i left i tipped the bartender in cash and he went ahead and added an additional $12 tip on my card which was unauthorized. Bad service bad and expensive drinks, bartenders are crooks! Today my wife and me are very dissapointed with this awful service in this restaurant, first waiter take 10 minutes to bring a glass of water and a coke, he took our order and after 25 minutes food never arrived, our complain is because restaurant wasn't full and we notice our sushi rolls were done in less than 5 minutes. fried rice and noodles never came. we saw other people in different tables where service work ok. I like the food here. But the service HORRIBLE!! Ive been going for a couple of years now just for the food, but i always cross my fingers to get good service. I decided to go there on my birthday.. it was 8 of us. Not only did they take forever to bring out our food we were there for about 2 hours... we waited for our check to come for about an hour and then after that the servers started to circle us and staring at us.. we were wondering why and after a while one of the hostess has the nerve to come up to us and say are you guys gonna leave soon?? First of all, the food is pretty good. The people who work there are horrible!! My friends and I go often because of the food and hope that each time we go the service will get better. It doesn't.... Then we find out who the owner is. That explains it all!! Let me first off start out by saying the service is horrible. I placed an order for carryout . Simple enough right ? Well let me tell you the server I wont mention her by name , She not only forgot to give me my Sushi roll, she tried to keep my Credit Card also. It wasnt until I had the hostess track her down did she give it back. When I realized she had left out the sushi roll , I called the establishment and she did not even offer an apology. As far as the food that I did receive . I ordered the Orange Chicken , if thats what they want to call it . It was so bland and had no taste. I have tasted better orange chicken store bought.
