So I thought I liked Korean food before I moved to LA. I had NO idea.
THIS, was life-changing!
I hear it's slightly overpriced for the area, but I didn't think $16.99 for the BBQ deal was all that pricy, given the sheer VOLUME of over-eating you are about to engage in -- and I'm a *vegetarian* and didn't even eat the BBQ. Warning -- even if you are ordering an entree that's not BBQ, they typically require you to pay the price if you are sitting at the table -- because you know, you'll eat some.
Which is OK with me because I get to uncomfortably stuff myself on all those fabulous sides, and then loosen my belt by one notch and ask for more. Uuuuoooohh.
I got the kimchi chigae, which was _so_ much more flavourful and just ... made me feel so much more ALIVE than every other time I've had it -- which made me really happy right then, but in retrospect, a little sad thinking about how I've been missing this hot-flashing, sweating, burning deliciousness for all my life. OH MY GOD.
Pros: authentic, plentiful
Cons: helps to have a native speaker with you, not veggie friendly
