HUGE RIP OFF! 12/24/2011

Actually the hotel wasn't so bad but you have to put things in perspective. For example if you were to take a trip and stay in a hotel for a few days in order to relax and at the end of the trip the amount spent was 15 grand then you'd expect that the hotel was extremely nice... The point is this. The casino is such an extreme and massive scam that it screws up the rest of the experience. I didn't go there to sit in a hotel room or just eat food. I went because I enjoy gambling or as they call it 'entertainment' It's not entertaining! It's not even 'gaming' it's just pure scamming. Those slot machines are the biggest joke I've ever experienced in my life. Just an outright scam! more

Truly Relaxing 8/16/2009

I travel to the area frequently for business. Of all the places to choose from, Clearwater Casino Resort is definately my top pick! The rooms/suites are nicely priced, especially considering the ammenities. Water View is the best, with a nice balcony that overlooks the Sound and outdoor entertainment area (perfect for concerts!). Super soft beds that wrap you in embrace, flatscreen tv, basket of snacks (M&M's to Lover's kit), coffee. The staff is always friendly and available to assist your every need, with-out having to wait for them to finish talking to their friends! While I have only eaten at the buffet (outdoor seating when the weather's good), it is decent with a pretty fair representation of local flavors; prime, salmon, chicken, mexican, oriental. The dessert bar is better than most. The worst part is the walk. The resort is not connected to the main building. On one hand, this is nice because it provides a quiet atmosphere for those (like me) who just want to relax and let the rest of the world pass by. Get youself a drink at the bar, go sit outside and enjoy the water view. Or if the weather is being it's usual Washington self, you can sit by the large fireplace and meet some new friends. On the other hand, to get to the casino/resturants, you must walk (via covered, but open breezeway) across the parking lot, through the underground parking structure, up the elevator, into the 3rd(?) floor. Kind of a pain, but all you have to do is ask for a ride and the staff will happily bring the mini van to the front door. There is also a day spa, which looks amazing, but I have not tried. I stay here at least once a week, and every visit is consistantly magnificent. Pros: The staff is the BEST!! Cons: Bad thing is, you have to walk half a mile, just to eat. more
