If you are thinking about applying for work at Superior Machine and Welding in Anchorage, AK, (especially if you are out of state) heed caution!! The two managers come across as being very nice and friendly but there are very strange dynamics between the two. They will lead you on and tell you that you will work out great for the shop and then suddenly you could be let go for insignificant reasons before your 30 day probationary period is up. They have history of doing this to five well qualified machinists with in the past one year time frame. The shop manager, Mark Bass, is a very young and immature fellow topped with a very power wound attitude. Just heed caution even if you are experienced and especially if you are planning to move to Alaska from out of state!
