Authentic Mexican Fare 4/15/2006

I didn't find this restaurant until my husband wanted to go here for Nick Saban night - the name misled me into thinking it was a steakhouse or some such. I was very pleasantly surprised to find the most authentic Mexican food I've had this side of Dallas. Everything was top drawer - from the perfectly seasoned beans to the white cloth tablecloths to the side dish of fresh flour tortillas with butter. It is pricier than the average Mexican place but absolutely worth it - and no more than you would spend at a Chili's anyway. more

A little mequite with your tequilla 4/12/2006

Superior Grill has one of the best Mexican menus in the south, but my favorite is the mesquite grilled fish anything. In addition, to great food they serve up some of the best froze margaritas. One bit of caution is Thursday nights are over run with college youngsters and Friday night will always have a wait. But this West meet South extravagance is Baton Rouges finest. more
