Firstly, I think Supercuts is a stepping stone for a lot of stylist, therefore, it can be a hit or miss. There was one Russian/Eastern European stylist that used to work there named Olena who gave me as good of a cut as most NYC stylists who I paid $100+ per cut. I live in Mountain Lake and it is great for a quick trim and quite often the stylists there are really talented. However, they don't seem to last very long. I would suggest finding out who the new stylist is and choosing them first. I think the best bet is to try the new stylist first. They usually try harder and are more likely to be the ones on their way to the higher priced salons. However, I have rarely ever seen anyone leave with a bad cut over the past 6 times I have used them within the past 10 years. They are excellent for kids. However, NJ, an especially my area, is full of a bunch of faux rich people trying to fake a $400 haircut for $30. Despite their leased Merc/BMW and their mortgaged to the hilt mansion, they want a Prive type of cut but they don't want to pay for it. Therefore they complain if their stylists isn't as good as Laurent Dufourg or Frederic Fakkai. For a good honest down to earth cut, the stylist are typically good. If you want a movie star cut, then either get real or go to NYC and cough up the money. However, don't try and kill these poor girls career with a bad review.
