Lots of fun things to do and see here. There is a TGI Fridays across from this location. Also near Popeyes, Long John Silvers, Steak and Shake, Burger King etc. this is off I 131. Close to a Paneras. The mall is close by. Festivals and fun events each weekend. Gilmore Keyboard Festival 2016! Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College, KVCC, Davenport nearby. more

Our stay was great. The staff were very knowledgeable and were very accommodating. We requested a quiet room. She put is in just that. Breakfast was pretty standard. Waffle iron, Cereal, toast, juice & coffee. The rooms were clean and very modern in design. Appliances should be updated. More electric outlets NEED to be installed. Running power strips is very dangerous. Big downfall for us was no guest laundry. As a last minute getaway, we needed laundry service. The woman at the front desk was helpful in directions to the nearest laundry mat though. When it came to shower /bathroom extras, the product was a nice brand, but no hair conditioner. I couldn't wash my hair during our lovers weekend. No way to get a brush threw my hair with out it! No lotion either. Only 2 shampoo, a bath bar & a face bar of soap. All in all, for the price, it was a great stay. We will define back if the opportunity comes our way. Planned or unplanned :-) more

My wife and I stayed at Super 8 in Kalamazoo last month and it was wonderful experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. The always greeted us with a smile and a very warm hello or goodbye. Coffee and tea were always available. The lobby was small but neat and clean. The breakfast area could be more spacious. But overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location of this hotel is excellent with lots of restaurants and bars within a walking distance. Our room was very clean and I was really impressed with 46 inch flat TV. I enjoyed watching the sports. Entire staff was very helpful and even our room attendant was exceptionally pleasant.\r The Wi-Fi was excellent and We really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.\r We plan to return to Kalamazoo and plan to use this hotel again. more

We found the hotel on an internet special which was a good price considering the location. The hotel is clean and had great view of golf course from a high floor and staff was friendly. It is near Kalamazoo downtown and within walking distance to heaps of restaurants and eateries places. We eat breakfast in the morning. Their Make your own belgian waffle is really good.\r Overall it was a fun stay and it is a great value. The new upgrades to the hotel are making it a very decent hotel to stay. Will come back again. more

Have stayed here a few times in the past and saw the negative reviews and was kinda worried. Turns out mostly a big worry about nothing, the beds were nice, the walls were nicely painted and the carpet looks new. AC/heat is kinda fidgity, but this is a budget motel, what more can you expect, a palace? Check in staff was nice, Kevin was pretty cool. Overall, really loved my stay! more

I cannot express how relieved I was to find this motel. I was there for a Western Michigan University 2 day orientation- and I needed a room for the night. I didn't know the area, but when I called the front desk, the gentleman was professional, kind, informative and reassuring. I felt like he was my personal concierge at a 5 star hotel. When I arrived, it was not just a reasonable bed, shower, free wifi, and free simple breakfast in the morning, but a newly renovated, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated motel room!! It was easy to get to from campus and located in a safe business area close to strip malls and a variety of fast food or restaurants. Bonus: I walked to the steak restaurant through the parking lot!! I'll be making many trips to Kalamazoo over the next 4 years, and I don't plan on staying anywhere else!! more

Excellent service and Friendly staff : We found the hotel on an internet special which was a good price considering the location. The hotel is clean and looked new with all the upgrades. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Ginger at front desk was very helpful and was able to find us a room on first floor with micro-fridge as my mother was not able to take steps. It is near Kalamazoo downtown and University. It is walking distance to many restaurants and eateries in the area. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Their Make your own belgian waffle and cinnamon rolls are really good.\r Overall it was a pleasant stay and great value. We will come back and stay here. more
