Manager Tom and desk clerk, Cindy, are warm, welcoming, efficient, well versed in hotel skills, and knowledgeable about the town and it's history, restaurants, and local events. It is located at the edge of the small town butting a pine woods whose fragrance is restful and clean after a long day on the road. It is away from the touristic chaos of the village and interstate highway. The rooms are quiet, spanking clean and well maintained. Highly recommended! Great value for one's money. A SUPER 10 score for the super Super 8 Motel, Williams, AZ. more

I was looking for a clean room for a short stay at a modest price. Room was clean, staff was awesome, continental breakfast was good too. Having read reviews of this place and noting that the hotel staff was prompt at responding to them I knew it was going to be a good stay. The staff was very helpful. They were patient with me when i had trouble logging onto the free wireless and walked me through solving my problem. they were also helpful, even to the point of sharing some advice to find the best location to stay on the next leg of my trip. They accommodated my needs and were generous with their time and responses. The room was basic and very clean. There were 2 beds in my room the one I slept on was of good condition and offered a good restful sleep. The shower had an optional pulsating (similar to shower massage) head. Continental breakfast had juice, coffee, cereals, yogurt and a waffle maker which was nice. more

What a gem of a place to stay. Stayed for 1 night when visiting the Grand Canyon. Arrived late at night to a very friendly lady on reception. Had a lovely room on the second floor with comfortable bed. Amazing picture over the bed of Route 66. Very clean with excellent facilities. Good breakfast. Couldn't fault anything. more

We spent 2 nights here while visiting the Grand Canyon. We checked in early (1pm), but the clerk, Cindy, was welcoming and did not mention the fact that we were early. Our room had a king sized bed, flat screen t.v., coffeemaker, mini fridge and micro. Plus free internet, tho we did not use it. We got coupons from the front desk for local restaurants. We ate dinner at Doc Holidays, and the food was very good, plus we got 20% off our meals. That was a nice little lagniappe. Our bed was comfy and the shower was hot. Free breakfast was offered in the morning, and was a large continental. We rode the train to the Grand Canyon and it was very pleasant. We were entertained by a singing guitar playing cowboy who was also a jokester. We spent several hours wandering around, taking pics, exploring, etc. During the train ride back, we got robbed by masked men with guns on horseback! Arrived back at the Williams station around 5:30 pm, had a Tex Mex dinner at Panchos (very tasty!) and did a little shopping in Williams. Went back to the room, watched t.v., then hit the sack. All in all, a nice stay in a charming little Route 66 town. more

We spent one night there between Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. I didn't expect such a nice environment. My room was on the back side of the building, looking at a beautiful pinewood.\r Such a relaxing atmosphere! Close to Grand Canyon, to Flagstaff and about 3mins by car to Williams and its Route 66 shops and restaurant and railway (very touristic, of course, but very nice!).\r Room was comfortable, big and clean, breakfast was good, there is also a small pool if you have a couple of hours to relax. Friendly staff, he helped us a lot and gave plenty of information. more

Upon request our room was moved to the ground floor. Room was quiet and clean. Heat and air were easy to use. The desk was courteous and helpful, they booked our next Super 8 stay for our return trip. The courtesy breakfast was very good with a nice selection of items. We will stay here again on our next trip to the area. more

We stayed here for a night when the road to Flagstaff became too icy to drive. Partly my review is out of gratefulness for this hotel being there when we desperately needed it! We were thankful for the price and that they didn't charge more than was advertised online with the bad weather. The room was spacious and clean. The lady at the front desk was nice and very helpful. Breakfast was impressively plentiful. I would stay here again and probably will if we visit the Grand Canyon anytime soon. more

We like to get there a day early so we can enjoy the town and not be rushed on the day of our train. We are big Super 8 fans and found the Williams Super 8 to be a very nice experience each time. The remodel of the breakfast area and breakfast items were a nice surprise. The rooms were very comfortable. The staff is helpful. The location is close to everything, and yet, allows you to feel like you are away from the busy tourist district. We will certainly visit again and again. more

Cross Country Road Trip Day 2: We left Econolodge in Buttonwillow, CA early headed for this Super 8, in Williams, AZ on historic Route 66. Not the hotels we normally stay with, but hey, not all hotels have suites or family rooms. After a long day of driving Super 8 came into sight. It's located in a very scenic setting next to a beautiful wooded area. The building and grounds were in good repair and clean! The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful and our ""Family room was great."" Three queen beds in a very large room w/a table and four chairs, a desk, a large TV, and plenty of dresser space. The only things this room was lacking were a microwave and refrigerator. The room was very clean and well stocked with linens, coffee, and toiletries. If you can squeeze a drive into town into your schedule, DO IT! Route 66 is alive and well in Williams. We had a great time. more

I can't believe I left behind everything I needed for work, my laptop, scope of work and favorite C.D's! I didn't even realize it until I returned home and of course, called Super 8 immediately. The office was extremely helpful. They took my belongings to Fed-X in Flagstaff the next morning, packaged it and mailed everything to me, which arrived in perfect condition. This was a life saver and above what most hotels would have done. Thank you Super 8! more
