The hotel room was comfortable, good heat when we needed it, and close to everything we needed. I have used this hotel before and will continue to use it because its a good hotel ...

For the price this was an okay place to stay. Everything was clean, which is my biggest concern. However, the coffee maker was broken, though it still worked. Also, they did not have an iron and ironing board in the room as advertised. Overall, it was fine and the staff was friendly. more

The pluses here are that the front desk staff was friendly, and you can get a 20% discount off your total bill at the Benningans in front ( including liquor!). Also the room included a microwave and minifridge. more

We enjoyed the personnel working the front desk.. The only thing that was a disappointment was the hot tub was out of order and was told that it was being replaced. We stayed 4 days and never saw any work being done.. Found another guest's watch and turned it in to front desk and he was nice enough to let me know that it was a gift from the man's wife.. Sure he was glad to get it back. We will be sure to keep this location (Meryl Hay Rd) in mind on our next trip to Des Moines. more

I liked that it offered an in-door pool and breakfast. If wasn't busy or crowded with people. I liked that I could bring my dog and the extra fee was only $5 a night. more

Nice clean, quiet room with a comfortable bed, frig and microwave. I asked for and got a ground floor, parking lot side, king room. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. Only downfall was that the pool had a leak and so could not enjoy that during my week long stay. more
