Our favorite Thai place in OC! 1/10/2009

We love Supatra's Thai Bistro. This restaurant is an unexpected gem in an otherwise generic suburban strip mall in Yorba Linda. The decor is elegant and the ambience is quite romantic. The food is consistently delicious. Standouts include the red curry, pad see yu, and spicy eggplant. Service is great. Pros: food, service, ambience Cons: nothing to do nearby more

Very tasty Thai food 8/19/2008

Hands down, the best cooked salmon I've ever had! (I emphasize ""cooked"" because salmon sushi would be another story.) My girlfriend and I decided to try several dishes since it was our first time there (the waitress probably thought we were insane). We weren't thrilled with the service--the staff wasn't very attentive (it was not busy at the time). However, the food totally made up for it. Everything was very tasty, and we both fought over the remains of the Garlic Salmon. Loved the food; service could be better. Really would like to give 4.5 stars. Pros: Great food Cons: Mediocre service more

Overrated--service was horrible, especially management 6/19/2008

So we used to go to Supatra's quite a bit, until the unthinkable happened. They made a mistake on an order (they inadvertantly put nuts in a dish after we asked them to exclude them because of an allergy). When we told the staff and asked for a replacement, the management inexplicably accused us of placing nuts in the dish!!! Are you kidding? Like they couldn't admit a mistake? This was by far the worst customer service we've ever received in any establishment anywhere in the world. Shocking. Be careful if you have any allergies! They could mess up an order and blame you! Cons: Worst Customer Service Ever, Anywhere!!! more

BEST THAI RESTAURANT / BEST SERVICE AND FOOD HANDS DOWN! 12/3/2007

This is an amazing place. Simply amazing!\r \r The only drawback for my family and I is that it is not closer to our home in Pasadena. If it was closer, we would be there many more times. \r \r Whenever we are in the Yorba Linda area we plan our trip so we can visit Supatra's. Everything on the menu is fresh and the tastes of the food is unbelievable. My family has dined at numerous Thai restaurants, and we would rate this restaurant as the very best! The appetizers are first rate. The main dishes are simply spectacular! The drink menu is great! On top of the great food, the atmosphere is warm and cozy and is very tastefully decorated and welcoming. The chairs are fully upholstered and comfortable. The restaurant is high end and unexpected, considering it is located at the end of a small strip mall. We always feel relaxed and at home at Supatra's. The service is great. We continue to experience the greatest food and service each and every time we visit this restaurant, having been there at leat 12 times. I HIGHLY recommend this place. A hidden jewel! Pros: GREAT FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE. BEST FOOD HANDS DOWN! Cons: NONE. more

Amazing Thai food in this locale, nice atmosphere for dates 9/30/2007

My wife and I went to this place after a long day. To say the least, we were very surprised by the decor and the food. Really good food for a decent price. You expect to pay a little higher than your local fast-food joint. The pricing was typical of other sit-down restaurants...about $12-$15 per head. I really liked the decor. \r \r Food was really tasty. It seemed it was freshly made and presented well.\r \r It is kinda hard to find cause it is waaaay in the back of the outdoor shopping plaza. more

Tasty Thai in Northern O.C. (Yorba Linda) 5/29/2007

I was in there today at lunch with my son, and almost every table filled up by the time we finished. Word of mouth must be getting the word out on this jewel. Contrary to the one reviewer, I really like the atmoshphere....tasteful....casual elegance I call it.\r \r The Cashew Chicken is my absolute favorite there, and my son's favorite the Chicken Pad Thai. For dinner, the Sizzling Chicken is really quite good and is my wife's favorite. The lunch soup was *really* tasty as well. I am not crazy about the salad dressing they have, so I order soup as part of the lunch special. I like my food somewhat spicy but not heat that overpowers the food, so I order it ""medium"" spicy (on the Chicken Cashew) and it is a good balance for me. Pros: Savory food, comfortable atmosphere, attentive service, fast lunch service Cons: Salad dressing (so I just avoid it) more

best thai food in OC 3/25/2007

You wouldn't expect the best thai food in orange county to be found in yorba linda, but it just might be. the food is fresh, the owner and staff are friendly and accomodating, and it's not over-crowded due to it's strip mall, yorba linda location. the garlic and pepper shrimp is amazing and the quality of all beef (esp beef and basil) is quite amazing! if you're passing through the OC or even living near Anaheim, it's worth the drive to check this place out. Having moved from nyc where there's great thai food (and having tried the vareity of amazing food in thailand), this place stacks up nicely! Pros: Fresh tasty food, friendly service, no wait Cons: Above average atmosphere, but nothing to write home about more

Great Lunch Spot 12/23/2006

I love the lunch menu here. The food is very tasty and the prices are reasonable. Not greasy. Excellent service and a nice contemporary ambience! more
