The student services office at UB needs to get it together! While they are relatively good about taking care of student needs, they recently changed from a two line/two section organization to one giant line. There are no more specialists in each area, you go to one person who is supposed to know everything.
This is a problem, as not everyone is very well versed in what they should be, and I ended up being told that I had to become a part time student when I was eligible for full time, all because of one phone call to the wrong department and person. Misinformation was given, and the person at the desk just accepted this, even when I asked them to double check.
Please make sure you check with a couple of different people in this office, as not everyone is on the same page!
